1. Pyramids of Giza
The pyramids of Giza in Egypt are among the most famous and oldest preserved structures of mankind. They are on the western edge of the Nile Valley, about eight kilometers southwest of the city of Giza (Giza). They are around 15 km from Cairo city center and are the only preserved of the seven wonders of the ancient world. They have been part of the world cultural heritage since 1979. We visit the 3 pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mekerinios then we drive to the sphinx and the valley temple.
2. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
The Egyptian Museum. 1897-1901 Treasury of 7000 years of civilization. The legacies of ancient Egyptian culture are kept in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, one of the most important museums in the world, and tell the story of an intelligent people and their great achievements. In fact, you can already feel the charisma of the wonderful works and the magic of ancient Egypt in the garden of the museum, even before entering the building. The museum is filled with the scents of a glorious past and in the eyes of the statues you can see the light of bygone times light up.
3. Hanging Church (El Muallaqa, Sitt Mariam, St Mary)
The Coptic Orthodox Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the Hanging Church, is one of the oldest churches in Egypt. The history of a church at this point goes back to the third century. It belongs to the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria
4. Khan Al-Khalili
Khan el-Khalili is a famous bazaar and souq in the historic center of Cairo, Egypt. The bazaar district was founded as a trading center in the Mamluk era and named after one of its numerous historical caravanserais. Since then it has been one of the main attractions of Cairo for tourists and Egyptians
5. Mosque of Muhammad Ali
he mosque of Muhammad Ali is located in the citadel of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi (Saladin) in Cairo. It was written by Muhammad Ali Pasha (A.D. 1220–1264 / A.D. 1805–1848), the founder of the Muhammad Ali dynasty (A.D. 1220–1372 / A.D. 1805–1953), An built on the site of the Mamluk palaces. He had these demolished to make way for his new building, also known as the "Alabaster Mosque" in terms of its marble cladding on the inside and outside walls. The mosque's twin minarets are the tallest in Egypt, each reaching a height of 84 meters
6. Mosque of Amr Ibn Al-As
he mosque of Amr ibn al-As is the oldest surviving mosque in Egypt and Africa. General ʿAmr ibn al-ʿAs (d. 664) was one of the first companions of the Prophet Muhammad. After conquering Egypt in AD 19 / AD 640, he founded his first Islamic capital, Fustat, which falls within the modern city of Cairo. A year later, on behalf of the caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab, he also founded the mosque of the same name, Amr ibn al-As, which became the first in the new capital
7. Synagogue Ben Ezra
The Ben Ezra Synagogue is located deep in the winding streets of Coptic Cairo and is the oldest Jewish temple in Cairo from the 9th century AD. Like almost all synagogues in Egypt today, it is simply a tourist attraction after almost all of Egypt's significant Jewish community was abandoned in the 1950s following the founding of Israel and the Free Officers Revolution. However, this site still has great importance in the history of Judaism in this day and age

It might not be the pyramids, but it is an absolute must to get a real feel for the history of Cairo as a city and to honestly see stunning medieval Islamic architecture and art. And not in a stuffy, museum-like setting behind the glass - it's a free pedestrian street with the architecture around you so you don't have to worry about paying money to stare at super curated things that you a) don't understand really and b) are kind of boring. One thing we can promise about Moez Street - it's not boring, that's for sure.

We really enjoyed the trip to Cairo. With over 40 degrees it was of course very hot, so it was even better that Toni took us safely and quickly from one sight to the next in an air-conditioned car. Adel, our tour guide, is very competent and informative. This meant that we not only learned a lot about the great sights, but also about the country, people and life in Cairo and Egypt. He was very responsive to our wishes. A particular highlight for us was lunch at the bazaar. There are many delicious dishes in Cairo for vegetarians.
We can only recommend this tour.

After we had already done the city tour in Hurghada and the tour of El Gouna with Memnon Reisen and were extremely satisfied every time, we also booked a 2-day private trip to Cairo. We were picked up by Akram the driver at 2 a.m. sharp. A very friendly welcome and off we went. Akram is a great driver, very calm, level-headed and always made us feel safe, even in the traffic chaos in Cairo. And he also provided us with chilled drinks. We arrived in Cairo at around 7.30 a.m. Our tour guide Adel got on there. Whether it was the Alabaster Mosque, the Coptic Quarter with the church, the pyramids with the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, the bazaar or the old town, Adel was able to tell us a lot about the history everywhere and in a very entertaining, inspiring way and in perfect German! We also had a very good lunch with Egyptian dishes in between. We stayed overnight in the Steigenberger Hotel opposite the new Egyptian Museum and had a wonderful view of the pyramids from the balcony of our room! Another unforgettable experience was drinking coffee in the old town in a very old, typical little Egyptian café! Adel, thank you for these two great days and for letting us get to know you!

We traveled as a couple and it was a great experience and everything worked out great.
For us, Memnon means uncomplicated, punctual, well organized and incredibly friendly!
All arrangements were made from Germany via WhatsApp or by phone call in German. The organization and implementation of the booked excursions was professional.
A perfectly organized 2-day trip to Cairo with a very competent guide. Aladin Osama, our tour guide, had a lot of informative and interesting things to tell. That is the advantage of booking a private tour. The slight surcharge compared to a group tour quickly pays for itself here.
Our driver also contributed to the success of the trip, even if the hours in the car for the journey there and back were exhausting.
An all-round successful trip, for which we would like to say thank you again.

First of all, I would like to thank "Memnon Reisen" for their excellent organization of our trip to Cairo. It was two unforgettable days for us, in which we were immersed in Egyptian history up close. But first things first.
The shuttle transfer to and from the airport to Hurghada with our driver Chico went smoothly. At the airport in Cairo we were met by our tour guide Markus, who let us experience Egyptian history up close for two days, who knew an incredible amount and shared this knowledge with us, so that in front of the historical sites in Sakkara, Daschor and Giza we had the feeling of being there in the time of the pharaohs.
Together with our driver Achmed, our dream team, it was two unforgettable days in Cairo. We always felt like VIPs. The two of them made everything possible for us, including a private boat tour on the Nile.
Overnight stay in Cairo: We recommend: the "Great Pyramids Inn", with a direct view of the Giza Plateau. Fantastic.
On the second day, the Egyptian National Museum, the Coptic Quarter and a visit to a bazaar were on the agenda.
All of the points here are absolutely worth seeing and can be experienced very realistically through the stories of our guide. Everything went smoothly. We would recommend Memnon Reisen without hesitation. Many thanks again to Markus, Achmed and Chico. You made our journey through the history of Egypt unforgettable.

The trip was well organised! We felt very comfortable all time! Also the guide was excellent, top service! Not to forget the driver who did also an amazing job!
The trip is worth every minute as it gives you so much insight about pyramides, the egyptian culture and Kairo!

Everything was super organized, our driver was extremely calm and relaxed, even with the crazy traffic in Cairo👍
Our guide Essam was particularly special, he spoke perfect German and responded to all our requests and kept asking questions!
He helped us get past queues, gave us tios for tips, etc.
The hotel was right next to the pyramids👍
We will definitely come back to Memnon trips!

We booked the trip for 2 adults and a 13-year-old. The organization of pick-up and flight from Hurghada to Cairo and also in Cairo itself was perfect. Our tour guide Adel, who is an Egyptologist himself, had incredible knowledge and it was a delight to listen to him. He fulfilled all of our expectations beyond measure. The overnight stay right next to the pyramids was incredible, the rooms were amazing. Who can say that they could look at these wonders at sunset and at breakfast? The restaurant was on the roof terrace of the hotel. Very friendly staff and the food was very good.
On the second day, Adel showed us the beautiful and lively Cairo.
Not to forget our driver Raffi, who was always ready in Cairo to take us to new destinations.
Memnon Reisen says they want happy guests and that's true, I've never experienced anything like it. It was perfect.
Thanks also to the organizers, thank you very much for these memories. If you want beautiful and perfect trips, you have to book Memnon Reisen!!!!

I booked the trip from Germany. From the first contact to returning to the hotel, everything was perfect! In Cairo, Adel, my guide, and the driver Reda picked me up from the plane. Adel, an Egyptologist, had incredible specialist knowledge. It was very interesting and I learned a lot. Reds drove us safely through the chaotic traffic of the city. The hotel booked through Memnon Reisen fully met my expectations. The pyramids, the museum and the old town will remain unforgettable memories. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe at all times!
