Descriptions and full tour are worth every penny. The tiles and beautiful garden area are explained well by the guide. Staying nearby made it an easy walk

This is a copy of the exchange I had with the tour operator after the tour

I started off - it would have been helpful to provide the name of the business that was our meeting point because as I’m sure you know, google maps is not always accurate therefore it put us in front of the New York pizza place. I then had to call and Andrea had to guide us to the shop. Once there (around 12:45pm for a 1:00pm start time) there was MUCH confusion as to where our tour guide was. The women there who of course spoke NO ENGLISH, said 5 times for us not to worry. I hadn’t been worried until the fifth time she said it. That’s when I knew there was something wrong. Finally, the women directed us to join a group that had all been in the back of the building probably where there was air conditioning- we were left in the front of the building hot and wondering what was going on. Terrible communication especially since we specifically requested English obviously because we only spoke English. We were then given a headset each and told to follow the group. The tour guide never bothered to speak with us or welcome us to their group. I’ve been on many many tours in my 65 years and I must admit, this was the worst. Don’t get me wrong, Alcazar was perhaps the most beautiful castle I’ve seen, however the guide and his presentation was uninspiring- perhaps even distracting from the beauty around us. The earpiece was cheap and kept falling out of my ear (yes ear, there was only one bud) and eventually I decided not to put it back in my ear and just read the placards in each area. That info was informative without the guides side humor. All in all, it was brutally hot and when I found out the second half of the tour was with the same guide, Ruben, we decided as a group we didn’t want to participate. For the money we spent on todays tour, we couldn’t have been more disappointed. I ran a tour company in New York for many many years, and there is a good way to communicate with your clients and then there is your way of communicating! Telling a customer that all is good but not making sure that all is good makes the difference between a professional tour company and amateurs. I kindly request a partial refund for the second half of the tour we missed.

Thank you

Tour company response:

Good afternoon, Stephanie. After this situation, we have asked each person that was present that day of the visits. The tour guide was all the time at the meeting point because it is the meeting point where we meet the whole group. Furthermore, Ruben is one of the best guides in Seville and he has a lot of positive reviews, and we did not receive any more complaints of the rest of the group. So, we are sorry, but we are not going to make any refund.

Sincerely,

Andrea.

Let the buyer be advised.

I thought the church and the palace were magnificent. Our group was too big and we listened through Bluetooth devices. Our guide’s English was heavily accented and she spoke fast. It was hard to understand her. I felt she was rushing through the tour. However, she did seem very knowledgeable.

Very nice and animated tour guides. Definitely learned a lot of information packed between these two beautiful places. Both tour guides were very knowledgeable and engaging which made the tour quite enjoyable. I would definitely recommend to anyone who visits Seville.

The stones tell their own story. Our guide Rafa, a passionate man, told us the story of Seville. He spoke of the people, the history, the country and made Seville come to life. Highly recommend a tour with Rafa.

If you only have one day in Sevilla, you just have to take the 3 hour tour around the city. If you have more days, start with that tour.
And ask for Ricardo as guide.
Whith his deep knowledge and pride of his hometown and a great sense of humour he gave the whole group a day to remember for long.
The best tour I ever had.
I hope he is deeply rewarded by all participants.
Whith love from Sweden 😊

Stayed at the wonderful Bécquer Hotel with another couple. Decided to take their free City Highlight Tour they offered. Cannot say enough about our wonderful ‘English Speaking’ Tour Guide ‘Hilano’, not to mention the wonderful tour itself!
Hilano not only spoke excellent English, but also had a wonderful personality! This young man will certainly do well in his lifetime!

When we (2 adults, 2 children) paid US$170 (excluding the entrance fees to BOTH attractions) for the tour of both sites. For that price, we assumed we'd have a semi-private/private guide for 3 hours. Instead, we were in a group of 15-20 with very little interaction with the tour guide. For this price and what you get, you're better off going at it alone, and renting an audio guide. In fairness, the guides were extremely knowledgeable and shared some good stories.
