Alhambra Skip-the-Line Guided Tour

This was an amazing tour.

Our guide was Vanessa.

We were in a group of about 20+ people and with the only children, but they were interested and engaged throughout despite it taking about 3.5 hours and being very hot. The Alhambra and Generalife cover a huge area and without a guide we would have been lost and tired/bored very quickly but it was actually an incredible experience, for all of us.

We were worried before the tour because of another comment about the organisation being poor but after a panic when we couldn't find Vanessa at the beginning (her umbrella wasn't purple!) it was all fine - and she was very careful to go and search out the other people who couldn't find her before we set off.

My only comment was that we had to provide passport details in advance and bring them (this is an Alhambra requirement, not the tour company), and this wasn't clearly explained in advance. I got a very clear reply to my email when i questioned it, but it would be better to have had that explained before as i am generally suspicious of emails asking for passport details...

But actually this was all dealt with very well and i couldn't recommend it more highly.

The meeting point for this tour was a complete dogs breakfast. We arrived at the tour start time of 11.30 yes we should have been earlier but could not find a 'purple umbrella' as described in the tour info. We ran among the crowd looking and asking people but could not find our group. I rang the contact number and the man that I spoke to tried to contact our guide but could not. He tried for over an hour and could not contact her. We therefore missed the first hour of the tour at least before we met up with the group outside the palaces. The rest of the tour was good.

This company needs to improve its procedure fro meeting and ensuring that all customers are present.
