The transfer was very good, except that it arrived an hour and a half early at the destination in Angra, and we had to wait that time for the boat to leave for Ilha Grande.

Great transfer - timely & efficient but the bus wasn’t well air conditioned & the windows didn’t open so it was hot and uncomfortable for most of the trip. The boat was quick but very unsafe. They pack the boat aisles and bough & literally every inch with luggage. If there was ever an emergency most people on the boat will drown because it’s also covered with stitched down plastic that’s inescapable too. It’s a short ride but $ shouldn’t be put above safety.

Really excellent service from Paraty Tours. Booked from the UK in advance as part of our first trip to Brazil. We also used the company for other transfers and a boat trip - all brilliant. Made our first time travelling like this so smooth. Prompt replies to queries, polite, efficient and friendly. Would highly recomend and wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

There is a corrupt system where those who pay for the transfer jump the queue of those who only pay for the normal ticket. If you want to travel and skip the line, this is the right place.

Easy communications with Paraty Tours once I had booked the Rio - Ilha Grande shuttle. The van turned up on time and we didn't wait long for the boat once we arrived at the port.
We then used Paraty Tours again in Paraty to get to Sao Paolo. I would have given 5* as the team was very helpful and had very good English. Only annoying thing was I got a quote for this transfer on Whatsapp and when we went to the shop in Paraty to pay, we were given a different price that was 500 reals more expensive - just three hours after the original quote. That was disappointing, but the driver was very good and turned up at exactly the right time, so overall pleased with the experience of using this company! Definitely one to consider if you don't speak Portugese or Spanish and want to communicate with the company about your booking. Drivers didn't speak English so just have to go with the flow, or get on Google Translate!

They are just pure confusion, they don't know how to do simple business tasks such as properly answering clients questions, providing vouchers, or tickets: 24 hours before my transfer from Rio to Ilha Grande, I still didn't know what was gonna happen with my transfer, so I didn't take a chance and booked with another company. Half an hour before my transfer time, they called complaining that they were waiting for me, but too late, I had booked with another company has I said. Oh, and don't expect any communications in English, it was all in Spanish despite being in Brazil, not Portuguese, but yeah, Spanish!!! This company has serious logistical, communicational and customer service problem. I totally recommand to stay away from anything that says transfers and ParatyTours within the same sentence!
