Experience the Italy’s finest Prosecco made in the DOCG wine district and very delicious cheeses produced by family run Fattoria Curto with the cheese shop located in the Prosecco hills. In the morning you will savor the typical “formaggi di malga” (stravecchio, sottofieno, morlacco, smoked ricotta) that a knowledgeable staff create through generations. Then you will enjoy a world of passion visiting two wineries and tasting four different types of Prosecco (Brut, extra dry, millesimato, extra brut) in each winery including a light lunch made of tasty plates of typical local salami and traditional Italian focaccia. You will discover with an English guide all the secrets of the production and of the process of prosecco and cheese.

The prosecco wine and cheese tour will also offer you to visit the enchanting hills of Prosecco (now Unesco Heritage) along charming villages and scenic vineyard countryside discovering the famous Osteria Senz’Oste.

The wineries were first rate. Ricardo was a superb guide, with great conversation on the drive and excellent wine information. He knows his stuff. The dairy was interesting, but go to the wine! The Prosecco was fantastic at both wineries, and the staff there were welcoming. Would love to sponsor a row!

We were picked up at Pl Roma and traveled out of Venice into the Prosecco hills. Our guide, Riccardo, was very knowledgeable of the DOCG area as well as history of the areas. We visited a cheese factory and tasted cheese varieties, and learned a small amount of the business. Then we traveled to a vineyard on the West side of the mountains for wine tasting and views of the Prosecco area. Following this, we traveled to a vineyard in the lower hills and learned about their operation followed by wine tasting. There was a lot of road time with this trip, but it was delightful! We recommend this highly if you are interested in how wines in various areas differ in taste and are rated. Great full day trip!

Ricardo with "Italy Tours and More" was am excellent guide for a great day of cheese and wine. He was great to chat with and very knowledgeable in both wine and the region. We had a great day with him. Viator didn't get us together very well but that's not his fault.

Our group was met promptly at the designated meeting spot by our guide Ricardo. We were blessed with a beautiful day. Ricardo by design chooses to showcase small, unique family-operated ventures; people with whom he has a long personal relationship.

We visited a cheese shop and 2 wineries. The pace of the day was very relaxed. The tastings were delicious and conducted in settings offering stunning vistas. We had a great experience and would enthusiastically recommend this tour to folks wishing to enjoy a relaxing day outside the the frenzy of Venice.

The landscape was stunning and the cheese and Prosecco delicious! My tour guide Riccardo was waiting for me when I arrived at the train station. We left for our journey first stopping by a family owned cheese production site with a wine and cheese bar. I was able to explore the cheese making process and sample a good quantity. Next we went to a small winery where we had samples (glasses) of Prosecco and a specially prepared light lunch. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. We then left for more site seeing through the Prosecco region which really needs to be seen in person to appreciate. We finished with another winery where we had more samples. Both places allowed purchase for taking or shipping. However, I asked if I could purchase the wine. They did not push their products at all. They just wanted me to have a wonderful experience. Once our day was down, Riccardo took me back to the train station and went inside with me to make sure I was all taken care of. He also sent me several pictures that he took throughout the day. Great trip! I would do it again!!

My husband and I booked this tour at last minute since we had some free time in Venice. It was a blast! Riccardo (English speaker too) picked us up and drove us to the country side to experience everything prosecco. It was neat to hear how prosecco was made and the differences. I now can spot out a great prosecco in my local supermarket. Come prepared and ready to eat! The first place alone (went to three places) gave us a pound of cheese, which was absolutely amazing, but we couldn't finish it. If I could have imported some of that cheese back to the US I would have! Riccardo made sure to take us to places that had the best views of the vineyards to take photos. He even took some photos of us which he emailed to us to keep. This tour was worth every penny.
