Fresh ingredients, everything from scratch, flavors of our traditional Mexico; in a beautiful Mexican-style house, surrounded by gardens, everything is set and carefully hand-picked for you to enjoy and live an authentic cultural and gastronomical immersion to the deepest traditions and roots of our ancient Mexican cuisine. Our gastro-cultural experience starts off with a brief introduction to the essential flavors and ingredients of Mexican cuisine, follow by a mezcal tasting, where we will learn, superficially, about its main characteristics and the right way to taste it.
Then, in an ambiance full of joy, music and laughter, we will prepare a full menu with sides, salsa and fruit water "agua fresca"
The preparation of tortillas and quesadillas is from scratch, as well as quesadillas, for which we always use artisanal cheese.
By the end of the class, we sit down in one table to share the food we just prepared and the experience itself! Mi casa es tu casa, you are always welcome!

This is one of the best cooking classes that I have ever had! Lily
commands the energy of the room, while also fostering a very fun and interactive environment where everyone is like a big family.
We learned how to make homemade corn tortillas from scratch, al pastor, chaya and other fresh ingredients for our soup, and quesadillas! The mezcal and horchata that we tasted was also phenomenal!
Lily is the real deal! I am thankful to have made these amazing memories + learned new techniques! Cheers!

It was so much fun! I loved learning how to make tortillas from scratch.
The watermelon agua fresca was delicious!
We did not get the mezcal tasting on our visit but that’s ok as we are not big drinkers.
I absolutely would recommend this visit.
Plus she has quite a few animals and they are all so sweet!!

This is an absolute must do if you like cooking and are anywhere near Tulum. Lily has a love and passion for the Mexican cultures, history, and most importantly cuisine that is extremely infectious. All of us enjoy cooking and the opportunity to learn the techniques and recipes of Mexico was amazing!

Do yourself a favor and learn how to cook with Tia Lily. She is fantastic with amazing energy and knowledge. This was one of the best experiences ever. You will leave full of new skills and full of delicious food.

I enjoyed learning about the history of corn tortillas and about other Mexican history. Lily was such a good hostess and her assistants were kind. My friends and I really loved the class and enjoyed dancing to the music, chatting, and cooking together.

Everything was amazing! The hostess was all the things! Kind, fun, knowledgeable, informative, etc. I learned how to cook foods that I enjoy, everything tasted amazing, and the beverages were perfect. I would recommend this activity to everyone!!!

My friends and I had so much FUN with Tia Lily! She really made us feel like family and guided us really well on how to make our DELICIOUS dinner. Her bright and bubbly personality really made this experience so enjoyable for my friends and I and we felt so safe with her. When we come back to Tulum, we will definitely be going back to Tia Lily!
