Amazing to see the the plantation/estate. We booked through Royal Caribbean Cruise we were on. The roads are pothole riddled in some segments, but our driver and guide were very experienced , and got us there and back without incident ( through a hard rainstorm for the last leg). Had our taste of many different rum (quality & potency). Had a create Jamaican lunch and our guide Steven was well versed in the history, and importance to the worldwide rum industry overall....Its worth the trip!

One of the best “tasting” tours I’ve done. From production through to the tasting everything was excellent. Our guide Steve was excellent and he and all the team that were there for the group made everyone feel welcome.

The history lesson on Rum and Jamaica so much so that I’m giving up gin for rum now! :-)

Had a wonderful and enlightening tour with Steve. I highly recommend him as a tour guide.

We had a choice of jerk pork or chicken for lunch.

The rum punch was nice. They had no aged rum for sale at r the time no of my visit, but were bottling some the next week

Took this tour when in port on cruise. The drive to the distillery was as others described...slow and full of large potholes but our driver got us there and back safely. Both he and the tour guide at the distillery were knowledgeable about Jamaica and the rum distillery process. Enjoyed the lunch of jerk chicken and bread. Rum punch was good. Small gift shop thrrr but they were not pushy to get sales.

Great tour, well worth the visit. If you like distilleries, this is a great place to stop and do the tour. Our tour guide Steve did a fantastic job taking us through the facility. Unexpectedly, he gave us a history lesson of Jamaica and how it is tied to sugarcane and ultimately rum. I learned a lot about Jamaica that I didn’t know and about the distillery process. By the way, their rum is very good and hard to find in the states. There is a nice little gift shop at the end where you can pick out their different lines of rum.

My girlfriend and I booked a tour at the Hampden estate rum distillery. We were greeted at the door by Steve, our tour guide, and Peppie, the liaison who helped us set up the tour and transportation.

Let me set this straight. These guys are the real deal, and make some of the best spirits and my personal favourite rum that I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Steve and Peppie are both amazingly knowledgeable and courteous, and helped us to understand the history of not only Jamaican rum, but the culture and beautiful island itself.

If you are considering any kind of excursion while enjoying this fair island, I could not recommend this enough. Ask for Steve, that guy is the best. Thanks again!

Steve gave a fun and informative presentation and tour, severed up some delicious rums and Jr. and Jennifer made us a delicious jerk pork, chicken and rice lunch. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in distillation, rum or Jamaican culture.
