3-Day Amboseli safari from Nairobi

Fabulous experience! Our guide, Joseph, was incredible. He has great people skills, reads people very well, and was accommodating/flexible - he knew exactly how to make the trip memorable and comfortable. We had three beautiful game drives where we saw dozens of families/herds of elephants, gazelle, zebras, cape buffalo, crested cranes, secretary birds, flamingos, too many other birds to name, hyenas, hippos, and even a lioness. Joseph taught us a lot of the animals and was great at spotting them. (Note: be prepared for bumpy roads in the national park)
We choose the "economy" option and "camped" in cabins outside the park. The accomodations were basic but we had no issues and it was a great place to relax. (Note: bring a flashlight in case the power goes out briefly; there is hot water but no Internet) Our chef, George, made delicious meals for us with fresh ingredients from the market. He was fabulous.
We choose to visit the Masai village, which was next door to our camp grounds. It was great learning more about their natural medicine and way of life. (Note: cost is $25/person; at the end of the visit, you'll have the opportunity to buy traditional beaded items and souvenirs - you'll pick everything out and then be told the price at the end, which was much higher than we expected, but bargaining is part of it and in the end, prices weren't too much different than what we found in shops along the way)
This trip is great for families of all ages. It's been a highlight of our time in Kenya.

recommend u to take tours organized this company, the tour guide Tmothy is a very good guide with great driving skill, he is punctual and responsible, on the way, he was introducing the animals and birds. I guess he is very experienced with everything in the national parks

We had a very nice safari to Amboseli Parc, lots of animals, a splendid view of Mt Kilimanjaro and fine accomodation. It was arranged smoothly at very short notice. Paul was a very reliable and safe driver and aood guide. All was efficiëntly discussed and organised by Alfred and his staff. Thanks to Bencia Adventures.

We are very satisfied with our safari. We prepared everything via WhatsApp from France with Alfred. We were staying at Diani Beach and it was me who asked to do the safari in Amboseli to see Kilimanjaro. What I didn't know is that it's actually a 10 hour drive between these two points 😲! If I had known this, I would have chosen Tsavo East! Plus, unfortunately, we didn't see Kilimanjaro. It is in fact very often hidden by clouds. Despite this, the safari went very well. We saw lots of animals and our guide, Mickael, was very punctual and very professional. He explained lots of things to us. It was very pleasant to spend this 3 day stay with him. It's just a shame that we didn't have a 4X4, it was a matatu with a sunroof, and as a result, we weren't able to take some tracks that were too wet. The only inconvenience I found during this safari was that we added the option of visiting a Maasai village and at the end of the visit, the Maasai pushed hard for us to buy their creations ( necklaces, bracelets, etc.). I found this very unpleasant even though the rest of the visit had been very interesting.

This is my second time working with Alfred @ Bencia Safaris. I will always use them for our personal and client bookings throughout Kenya & Tanzania.
Everything was seamless and as expected for hotels, ground & air transportation, and safari’s. They also assisted us with their team in Zanzibar! Looking forward to expanding our partnership.

The driver Timothy was awesome! Very passionate and experienced in his job as safari guide, he was able to share all his knowledge and enthusiasm even for the smallest birds. We had mechanical troubles to the vehicle while getting back to Nairobi, which made the way back to the city very long and stressful. After several hours they sent another vehicle to pick us up. At the lodge we had issues as it seemed the booking was done for only 1 night and not 2 as agreed, however it might have been a problem caused by the lodge itself and not the agency - we can’t know. Anyway, the agency has been always responsive and supportive.

The 3-day tour of Amboseli was just perfect! George was our driver and he took us all the way form Nairobi to Amboseli then drove us all over the park for 3 days. He knew the park roads inside and out and found massive numbers of elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, impala, cape buffalo, hippos and even a pair of lions.

I was in Arusha having completed a wonderful 6 day Tanzania safari where I saw a lot and was planning to head to Amsterdam the next day when I changed my mind and WhatsApp about 6 safari companies in Kenya . Luckily for me, Alfred of Bencia safari replied immediately with an offer that fitted my tight budget. He was very patient with me as I needed to get my covid pcr test result first before committing myself. I took the comfortable River shuttle in downtown Arusha to Namanga. I was met at the Kenya side at Namanga by Cyprian and Johanas my driver/guide. They brought me to a bank where I could withdraw the maximum of 40000 per transaction per card to pay for my safari. The other guest bailed out and I ended up with a private tour for Amboseli. Johanas was great and I lucked out when Mt Kilimanjaro was not cloud shrouded for about 4 hours the next day during our game drive which started promptly at 6.30 am. I was glad I changed my mind as Amboseli was definitely worth it and I saw more than the famous Amboseli elephants, the largest in the world. After Amboseli, I continued with a 5 night safari which included Lake Naviasha, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. I was joined by 3 other individual travelers for the 3 day 2 night Maasai Mara tour, Bencia tours was quick to respond to my questions and made some changes last minute which was appreciated. Highly recommended. You have a choice of a modified van or land cruiser depending on your budget.

This was my first time visiting Amboseli, and my first time staying at a luxury camp (Kibo) with Bencia. I absolutely loved Kibo!! Amazing food and very comfortable in every sense. Our game drives were great, with George as driver/guide who is amazing!! We also got lucky with the weather and were able to see Mt. Kilimanjaro every day! The night sky/stars were also the best I’ve ever seen in Kenya. We visited a Maasai tribe nearby as well. Highly recommend the entire experience. This was also an appropriate amount of time to spend at this park - I wouldn’t recommend more days unless you wanted more time to relax at the beautiful Kibo camp, use their pool, etc.

Very good experience with our guide Joseph. We arrived in Nairobi on friday morning, he picked up us at the airport, and we went directly to Amboseli Park. The hotel was very good, we respected the programme. We have seen all the animals we could see (we even see lions and its very rare at Amboseli)
I highly recommend this agency and our guide named Joseph. He is funny, pay attention to everything and has very good eyes to see animals from far away!!! Thank you it was a dream!!
