We enjoyed our trip with Nic. He is a great guide, knowledgable and shared interesting information on the vegetation and Etna. Lunch was good as well. Highly recommended.

Our Tour guide Nik for the day was brilliant. Picked up from outside hotel on time and very welcoming. When collected all the group we had a brief run down of what to expect. His driving was really good and health and safety through the day was excellent.
Tour to etna crater was brilliant with poles and boots provided if needed. We took advantage of both - boots very comfortable. Frequent stops for water and top up sun cream throughout the day. Nik was so knowledgeable and informative and attentive.
The trek itself was not challenging, but would need a certain level of fitness and good health. Saying that when we were at the top of the crater we bumped into a 75 year old spritely woman.
The next stop to the caves which were nice and cooling and amazing to look at. The lunch was at base camp and was in a lovely air conditioned building with a lovely sample of Sicilian delights and wine.
The Alacantra gorgeous were beautiful and so refreshing on a hot day.
The day finished being dropped off at our hotel at 5.30/6pm . Nik was entertaining and enthusiastic throughout - we had a timetable but did not feel rushed.
For us it was the perfect tour including lots of attractions.
Would 100 recommend and super value for money!!!

Small group (7 guests), which makes it a lot more personal than other tours. The hike on the Etna is breath taking, but a bit challenging. They provide hiking books, it is impossible to do the hike without. If you book the tour in summer, don’t bring a jacket. In the confirmation mail it says to bring a jacket, but is really not needed. But, bring water shoes for the stop at Alcantara. You will need it.

A big shout out to Roberto the amazing guide who's enthusiam was infectious.
He made the day fun and informative, the company should be proud to have him.
Our van had various nationalities and made for an interesting day all round.
The volcano walk was just right for us. The winery was outstanding and the gorge was freezing but spectacular.
Would recommend in a heartbeat, But make sure you get Roberto on the bus.

We did the “Etna, wine and alcantara” excursion. The tour of Etna at 2000m with our guide Daniele, passionate about the volcano and its diversity, was perfect. The explanations given were all more interesting than the others. We then went to lunch in the vineyard where we tasted typical Sicilian dishes as well as wine. The rest of the visit to the Alcantara gorges did not lower the level of satisfaction of the day, once again with explanations and anecdotes that we will remember for a long time. We were a group of 6 people from all corners of the earth. Thanks again Daniele for this day, we recommend with our eyes closed!!

We were 2 families and friends that booked this for a day trip. The AC was broken so we were 8 persons in a van for this day trip and it was horrible and hot. I found it strange that the company sent us a minivan with AC out of function on one of the hottest day. 2 persons in our company felt sick after 4 hours and it was no fun at all. It felt the company wanted our money no matter what. The lunch was tiny and busy with a lot of people in the same building, not so relaxing. The guide was nice, funny and he tried his best. Considering the amount we paid it was a joke. I actually have a hard time booking something else through Viator just because I am so disapointed by this trip.

What a fantastic day, we would 100% recommend. We went on the full day tour of Etna, lava caves, the alacantara gorge and lunch at the winery, led by nick who was brilliant - friendly, knowledgeable, informative and fun throughout.
The scenery is amazing, much more diverse than I expected and it was great to learn so much about the geology. The gorge was also a surprise, absolutely stunning and dramatic (and not too cold to wade up and bob back down)
Thank you so much Nick, we loved the whole day (lunch and the organic wine were delicious too)

Wonderful tour of Etna! We chose a lighter hike with a cave visit, wine lunch and Alcantara gorge option. In hindsight, I might have picked a longer, more athletic hike, but it was such a lovely day, I cannot complain. Our guide Nic was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the area, geology, biology - we really learned a lot about the volcano and the natural history. Nic's also funny, kind, and a safe driver on the mountain roads. Would 100% use this company again. Elisa was very accommodating in the office as well, as I asked many question. Oh, and the lunch, especially for a commercial tour, was amazing. The vineyard with which Etna People works is stunning and their natural Etna wines were a treat.

Roberto was incredibly informative and passionate about Mt. Etna and the region around it. Very well run tour with a very picturesque winery and delicious food. Would highly recommend this tour if you don’t have a lot of time on Sicily and are interested in the historical Mt. Etna as well as getting to a winery.

I never write reviews - ever! This trip is a must do if you are in the area. Tony picked us up at a central point in Taormina and from the minute we met him until our goodbye hours later, he passionately informed us about all things Etna and Sicily. His enthusiasm was something else and what a genuinely lovely, caring person.
This trip gives you a variety of experiences: an easy climb of Etna to see the magnificent craters, a tasty traditional lunch with wine, cave exploration and a visit to Alcantara gorge. Every stop was fabulous and even our 11 year old son who is normally difficult to please had a great time!
Etna People were really good to deal with and even gave me a discount for booking another trip with them, and I didnt even ask! Book this trip, you will not be disappointed.
