Had a great time riding the Harties Cableway up the mountain, the view was aweome, so much to do on top of the mountain. the food was great, the music was great, just totally awesome

We bought two tickets to go up the Hartbeespoort Cableway on 10/04/24 and the day before received a cancellation due to unplanned maintenance. Being on a tight schedule we couldn't fit the experience in any other day we were in the area so asked for a refund of R600 for the two tickets. The refund never came and despite chasing multiple times it still hasn't arrived back in my account (07/05/24). I will not be recommending any friends visiting the Johannesburg area to book this experience.

This review will be extremely helpful for people with disabilities. My Sister have severe difficulties walking. She uses crutches and even then experience a lot of discomfort. When we got to the cableway, she got out of the car and started walking. A worker came running to us, went and got a wheelchair. He assisted her untill she were in the cablecar and went with us all the way to the top to make sure we were ok. I forgot to get his name. When we get to the top, a guy with the name of Gift were waiting for us. He pushed the wheelchair the whole walking trail untill we were settled at the restaurant (next to cable cars) where the food and service were divine. Gift said as soon we were finished I must just wave. After lunch I gave one wave and within a minute he were there, from where he assisted us untill we were in the cable car. At the bottom, the same guy that took us up, were assisting us in the beginnig, were waiting for us with a wheelchair. It was my Sisters Birthday the 23rd of March and mine the 28th of March, so we used the birthday promorion. We felt like royalty and want to thank the owners and workers of the cable cars for such excellent training of their workers, and the workers for their help and patience with us. I just want to say to all disabled people out there don't be concerned to do the cable cars. Harties cable way take treating of disabled seriously and with a lot of empathy. Thank you so much for making our day so special.

Last Wednesday, I treated 2 friends to go up the cableway intending to enjoy lunch at the top. Cableway service was excellent. Sadly, Asado Grill was very disappointing. Most of the menu was unavailable & the available pork ribs were tough but the available chicken wings were meaty. Both meals were not served with BBQ sauce & were dry. We only ordered 3 canned cooldrinks & the food bill was over R900! Wasps seriously swarmed the eating area. I even got stung, making it impossible to enjoy our food & the view, resulting in us asking for doggy bags & leaving early. Management made no attempt to deal with the wasps.

Such an amazing experience and breath taking views. We went with a big family with young children and everyone enjoyed it immensely! Food was very good too. Highly recommended

What a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the ride up the mountain. We enjoyed the view of the whole Haarties from up the mountain and the nice food from the restuarant.
