During my solo trip to Mexico I booked the Go Wonders tour of Mexigo, highly recommended!

I stayed in Valladolid for a few days and was picked up from my hostel and taken back. The tour lasted all day, we saw so much!

Our tour guide was cheerful, kind, had a lot of knowledge which he brought with humor and continuously made sure that everyone felt at ease. We were a group of 7, and the tour guide did his best to involve everyone in the tours. We were able to ask questions all day long and he even solved some luggage problems for fellow travelers by calling in Spanish.

We started our day early in Chitzen Itza, when it was not yet so hot and crowded. We had an interesting tour here and were able to walk around and take photos ourselves. Then we went to a beautiful cenote, a bit remote so not full of tourists! So impressive to swim around there with just a few people. The (local) lunch was provided at the cenote. As a last stop we went to beautiful Izamal. There too we received a tour with information and time to walk around. Everything went in consultation, the tour guide was very flexible.

Although the tour may be a bit more expensive than other tours offered online, I thought it was more than worth it! With the private van (with air conditioning!) you save a lot of time and you can visit many different places within one day. Ideal if you are traveling through Mexico. The tours were also a real addition! I learned a lot about the Mayan culture and the Spanish colonization in Mexico.

Thanks for the great day!

Jose, you made our time in this part of the world so memorable. It was hot, it was busy, but the Chichen Itza experience followed by the awesome cenote (plus lots of really interesting stories) was incredible. To then spend the next day with you on the Go Monkey tour was a treat. We had so much fun on the zipline, canoeing, jumping in another cenote, cycling around the Coba ruins, seeing spider and howler monkeys, and having a great lunch with you! Happy to recommend to others, wish you all the best.

Gilberto was an excellent guide again for our Chichen Itza tour. Starting a Chichen Itza tour from Valladolid definitely seems like the better option compared to Cancun or Merida, as we arrived there not long after it opened, so you're not there in the worst heat of the day. Gilberto imparted a lot of really interesting knowledge about Chichen Itza during our tour.
Yokdzonot cenote was lovely, and the lunch provided there was excellent.
Izamal was very pretty, with 'bonus' Mayan structures that we wouldn't have seen if not for this tour.

We had an amazing full day with Jose, our tour operator. The fact that we left early (7am) from Valladolid helped us reach Chichen Itza at opening and enjoyed a couple of hours there before it got too crowded and hot. The visit at the Cenote was very nice, and same for the little town of Izamal. I would definitely recommend booking this tour for anyone who wants a small group and a full active day!

Perfect way to explore the Yucatán. Our guide was Jose - passionate and knowledgable about the Mayan culture and region, he spoke excellent English and had a great sense of humour. He made our day extremely comfortable and enjoyable in the 41° degree heat of the day. Our lunch at the Cenote was delicious. Guacamole to start followed by a selection of dishes, the chicken fajitas were perfect for a full day of sight seeing. Highly recommend.

Jose was a fantastic host and incredibly knowledgeable, as well as speaking (at least) 5 languages and effortlessly switching between them on the tour. We learned a lot about Mayan culture and the history of the area, as well as seeing some incredible sights. Would highly recommend if you’re staying in Valladolid and want to pack a lot into a day at a great price. The cenote was magical!

We had an excellent day yesterday on this trip. We were picked up from our hotel at the time advised and arrived at Chichén Itzá early before all the crowds. Jose Gilberto our guide was brilliant - full of knowledge, personable and fun. After a guided tour we were given an hour to wander around ourselves. Swimming in the Yokdzonot Cenote was amazing - well worth doing even if you are a bit anxious about it - so tranquil. The local lunch was delicious. The trip to Izamal involved being able to climb up the temple ruin (if you wanted to) with amazing views of the time - definitely felt that we’d stepped back a bit in time. The trip home at the end of the day was topped off by Gilberto’s eclectic music taste. A brilliant day and a fine way to end our holiday in Mexico. Thank you Gilberto!
