Our tour guide was the best we’ve ever had. His knowledge, his English were excellent. We have already recommended him to friends. We visited Istanbul 55 years ago. This visit was more enjoyable than the first, in large part due to our great guide.

We cannot recommend this tour company, highly enough! Our guide Muti and our driver met us at the hotel. We had already had a tour of several of the main sites of Istanbul, and Muti was more than happy to improvise with us to go to what else we wanted to see in this thriving city. He gave a masterful tour of the top palace. And drove us through a variety of beautiful and interesting historical neighborhoods, while giving us thoughtful and often funny insights into the history, culture and politics of these various great monuments. If you want to avoid cookie-cutter tours that send you where they want you to go, use this company!

One of the best tours that we experienced on our trip to Turkey and Greece! All of the details were handled wonderfully and communication was very good! Our tour guide, Umutcan (John), was so very knowledgeable about the city and the history of not only the city, but the entire country! Our driver was excellent and we had a wonderful day seeing the Iconic landmarks of Istanbul. I recommend this tour highly!

We met up with our excellent guide, Seckin. We had to be back onboard our ship at 15:30, which is a tight deadline, given the level of traffic in Istanbul. A further issue is that my partner is partially blind. Seckin did everything to make the tour easy for us.
Our tour was on a Friday, so the Blue Mosque doesn’t open for tourists until 14:30. Seckin managed our agenda perfectly. We even managed to have an excellent lunch at a restaurant he recommended. His knowledge was encyclopaedic. And we did get to see inside the Blue Mosque. Our driver did a great job, and we bid farewell at the terminal entrance..

We had a great day! We only had less than a day in Istanbul as a flight transit stop and this tour was perfect for getting a taste of the city. Our guide was great and tailored everything to what we were interested in. Also very convenient as he had a driver pick us up right at our hotel. Highly recommend!!

I am writing this review in anger and disappointment after our recent Istanbul Private Sightseeing experience. We paid a staggering £330 for a tour that took us to places that are actually free for visitors. Any place that required tickets, we had to pay extra.

The tour started with a car picking us up from our hotel, which was only 10 minutes away from the destination. The car left us with the tour guide, and what we quickly realized is that all the sites we were to visit are literally opposite each other. There was barely any excursion needed to navigate through them.

The guide gave us a very basic explanation of the structures and the location. My 11-year-old son knew more about the Ottoman Empire and the Blue Mosque than what was told to us. It was extremely frustrating to pay such a high price for such minimal information.

To make matters worse, the tour guide took us to very expensive places to buy jewelry and carpets, claiming we would get the best deals there. We fell for it and ended up spending a lot of money on items for ourselves and our friends and family. The next day in the bazaar, we found the exact same items for a quarter of the price. We were informed that these agencies have tie-ups with the guides to exploit foreigners.

Although the guide was a pleasant man, looking back, it is infuriating to realize how he gained our trust only to make us spend more money. We even invited him to join us for lunch as it was getting late. But when you understand that you've paid such a whopping amount just to have someone escort you around for 3-4 hours, making you pay extra for tickets and suggested shopping, you know you've been looted.

I am requesting a full refund for this tour. The experience was nothing short of a scam, and I strongly advise others to be wary of such rip-offs.

Muhsin was the guide for my family’s private tour, and he was fantastic—very knowledgeable and engaging as well as attentive and patient in letting our group walk around to investigate the sites we visited (Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazaar, etc.). He even helped us at the Grand Bazaar to haggle for a necklace for my daughter. The tour was really great. Thank you, Muhsin!
