I had the pleasure of participating in an unforgettable guided tour of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill with the Italy Pass tour operator. When you admire the Colosseum, you experience a feeling of grandeur and magnificence. The guide told us the thousand-year history of this monument and revealed truly fascinating details.
For example, how special effects were set up for shows, the life of gladiators and the funny anecdotes handed down by ancient authors. Plus, we discovered the truth about the infamous "thumbs down." The Colosseum is truly a magical place.
After the visit to the Colosseum, we crossed the square dominated by the Arch of Constantine. This triumphal arch allowed us to understand the artistic taste of the Romans and the celebratory role of art in the service of power. The guide told us the history of this monument and gave us time to take photos.

Very confusing trying to find where to go/line up for this trip. We had to go check in a certain location before lining up which was badly noted. Once checked in we had to wait for well over an hour before leaving the check in office to line up for are tour. Trip itself was very good and would highly recommend but there was an awful lot of waiting around and I feel like the ‘skip the line’ ticket may have been a waste of time as if we had a normal ticket we could have been in faster. I would recommend the trip but not with this company if you are in a hurry.

When you see the line up of people who havent pre-ordered their tickets and then you get to go straight in, you realise how good this is. Our own fault that we didnt read the instructions properly for where to pick up the tickets, but once we realised our mistake, we couldve saved ourselves some hassles. Staff were friendly and answered any questions. We didnt get a guided tour, instead just wandering by ourselves, either way would be fine.

This was the most disorganised tour we have ever been on. The tour guides did not arrive and it took 2 hours for them to find one. By this time more groups had arrived and our group of no more than 20 turned into 60. We had organised an early start to beat the heat of the day but instead followed the guide in our group of 60 from ticket box to ticket box to get our tickets. We ended up leaving the tour early as it was very poor and when we did there were only 10 people left out of the 60. We paid for 7 people and was the biggest waste of money and time unfortunately.

We actually upgraded to the guided tour upon arriving at the agency. We arrived at the agency at 8:30 as directed. They were late opening so we had to wait outside until they arrived. We met guide Marta for our Colosseum. She was great. After that, we were supposed to meet a 2nd guideat the Colosseum exit to go into The Forum. Apparently there was some problem with her own transportation in arriving and we had to wait outside in the July sun for her. Finally she arrived and she was just ok. I will say that Andrea, the young man who escorted us, was a gem. He was accommodating and apologetic when things got bumpy.

The minute you step into the dank office, they tell you they’ve over booked and you have to come back or see everything you’ve signed up for at different times. We were more than frustrated with the young men running the place as well as the non-English speaking young people you have to follow (or should I say run after) to wherever it is THEY want you to start.
If we didn’t want to see the Coloseum, Forum and Palatine Hill so much I WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AGENCY!

No effect on queuing time. 30 mins waiting for the tour to start. 1 hour in the queue which could have been used productively with stories about the archcitecture but was spent justifying that the queue will go quickly.
Overall, terrible guide - wouldn’t answer questions, little discussion on history, gladiators or architecture. Obsessed with people trying to leave and taking the radios with them. Probably happens all the time.

Doesn’t deserve even one star. This tour was all booked and paid for weeks in advance and then 30 minutes before our tour was meant to start we get an email saying it’s cancelled. With no explanation and already being at the colosseum this was extremely infuriating and not professional at all.
We arrived at the tour place for them to say nothing more than “it’s cancelled” and “we emailed you”. No offer of a later tour or apology.
Would not recommend this unless you want to be disappointed and have a journey wasted. Especially as the people in front of us in the queue had the exact same issue, clearly not a one off.
Very very poor service

I am pretty sure that we would not have even stepped foot inside the Colosseum if we had not complained so much and told the other customers what was going on. They had us wait in their office for 2 hours before we even began to walk over to the Colosseum. We went in just before 11am for an 8:30am booking. They had no clue what they were doing and were totally unorganized, which I just chalked up to being in Europe, but then they started telling other customers things that just didn't happen (Like, "your tour just left" when there was not a group that left). They had no clue even which tour we were supposed to be on, it was nuts. Would highly advise not using this company at all.
