2.5 – 3 hrs long adventurous climbing-crawling tour into a 30 km long multi-level labyrinth system (the longest cave of Hungary). During the caving tour you will often have to climb on walls and crawl through narrow passages.
Age limit: 8-55 yrs. It is strongly not recommended for very overweight people.

Definitely worth doing if you have a sense of adventure and like to experience new situations. Your hands and long hair will get dirty. You will get bruises. Wear shoes with good grip that you don’t mind getting dirty and wear clothes that do not restrict movement as you will be climbing and clambering through some tight spots. The tour is very well put together and make sure you listen to your guide. An amazing experience not to be missed if you have the chance.

Highlight experience when visiting Budapest. A great, funny guide with tons of knowledge that clearly has a longtime passion for the sport. Will offer to do more challenging route if the group is up for it.

Fantastic adventure, we all loved it. Had a great time with the guides, very knowledgable and funny. Something different to add to your Budapest itinerary, a real memorable experience - and yes, recommend going to the thermal baths afterwards to relax.

Great experience and highlight of my time in Budapest! Immersive from start to finish and difficult sections offer alternate routes and the instructor is very helpful when necessary. Definitely worth it and recommend! Photos attached are leading into and coming out of the most difficult section we encountered!

The tour was strenuous but for me it was the highlight of our trip to Budapest. The tour guide had a lot of interesting information about the formation of the caves and entertained the group with funny stories. One person in the group got scared in the cave but was guided by the guide and was able to complete the tour.

The cave tour was really great, especially to pass the time on a cloudy day.
Not only are there a few narrow and tricky passages, but our guide Laszlo made the whole tour exciting and entertaining.
The tips he gave us for the rest of our stay in Budapest were also useful.

I had an amazing time during this caving tour!! The guide was great about accommodating to the group as well as giving individuals different options to ensure everyone was having a good time. Not only was it super cool to crawl around the caves, but along the way you also got to learn a little bit about the caves themselves which was very interesting. It is definitely a bit of a workout, so be prepared, but it is nothing too strenuous. I highly recommend this experience while in Budapest (unless you are claustrophobic)!!

Had a lot of fun in the caves! Initially was worried a bit as I had never been in these type of caves before but this was completely unnecessary. Our guide Szilard made us feel relaxed and during the whole experience he checked with the group how do we feel and if we should go more complicated route or easier route. When evert we get back to Budapest, I would def do this again and even go for the extreme tour.

Wow, what a once in a lifetime experience! Our guide was so passionate about caving and the history of the caves, we got so much information and learnt so much whilst going round.
Me and my partner are young, active people and the others in the group were of a similar age and ability, so we were well challenged in the caves, taking all the hardest routes. It was very physically demanding, and the spaces are incredibly tight, squeezing through one body part at a time and jumping over/across rocks. If you’re fit and don’t mind tight spaces, it literally is an experience you can’t miss.
Although, our guide did say there were plenty of easier alternate routes if any of us needed to, and she monitored our ability as we went round.
Some tips… it is warm down there, you don’t think it will be, but under our overalls we just had a t-shirt on and still got pretty sweaty. Also, bring some gloves. These aren’t provided and I would have benefitted for some to help with grip and stop my hands getting sore (some thin gardening gloves or agricultural ones).
Overall, it was one of the best experiences of my life, I enjoyed it far more than I could ever have expected and would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to do something like this.
