Rosella was absolutely awesome! She helped me plan my day and provided an excellent driver and translator--Giuseppe! We went to San Pier Niceto to meet cousins for the day. She helped locate one cousin who did the rest. It was perfect!

Our trip was wonderfully planned! My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon. We were in Sicily for 5 full days and our itinerary was robust. Everything was well organized - hotels, driver, and all our tour guides. We were even treated to a dinner out with Rosella and Gianca. That was a nice, personal touch. The only thing I wish my husband and I would have done was have more down time in Cefalu enjoying the beach and had an opportunity to spend a full day in Taormina.
Some of our trip highlights: visiting with family in Altavilla, sausage making class in Caccamo, and paired wine tasting on Mount Etna!
I wish we were back in Sicily, sipping on espresso and looking out over the vast mountain tops.

Truly the trip of a lifetime for our family. As first generation, my sister and I wanted to have an opportunity to see where our parents and grandparents came from. Gianca and Rosella fully delivered that experience. Prior to our trip, Gianca and Rosella took the time to understand what we were hoping to achieve on our visit. They offered that they could help us if we gave them the family history we had found. The result was a tour that not only gave us a chance to visit the towns of our ancestors and walk the streets they did, but to fully understand the history of Sicily and how it may have impacted our parents and grand-parents decision to come to America. They also obtained historical records for us from the local governments and this allowed us to visit the actual homes they were born or lived in.
All the hotels were wonderful and centrally located to the city we were visiting. They created an itinerary that showed us the beauty and history of Sicily. The drivers that transported us between locations were friendly, helpful and made the road trips more pleasurable with their quality vans. Each of the tour guides was amazing and not only provided information on the history of the region, but other interesting tidbits of folklore as well. They were also very personable and it felt as if you were getting a tour by one of your relatives. As someone else said, “you don’t feel like a client, you feel like family, you feel as if you’re a part of their family.”
Thank you Gianca and Rosella for a most memorable experience that we will always treasure. Your efforts have made us feel truly connected with our family and Sicily. Grazie mille per un'esperienza meravigliosa.

If you are looking for the best tour in Sicily, this is it. Rosella and Gianca have created a tour that captures the passion, sites, history, and cuisine of Sicily that is truly amazing.
Sicily Lovers tailored our trip to include a side trip to the town of Misilmeri, where my family originated. The driver and guide were super and very knowledgeable on the history of Misilmeri. We enjoyed a visit with the mayor and met very distant relatives who live in Misilmeri.
Rosella really helped out when our luggage was misplaced for 4 days by Lufthansa. She was able to help expedite the return once the luggage finally made it to Palermo.
From there we joined the main tour group and were treated to a group of people who had Sicilian roots and a couple of women who were from England. Rosella and Gianca instilled a sense of togetherness and helped the group to become one big family. We all had a great time being together and really became a big family.
The guides were amazing and we were treated to the history and beauty of the various locations without feeling like we were preparing for an exam at the end of the tour! The food was incredible as well as the variety of wines we enjoyed with the meals. The two chefs who were part of the tour, shared some of their incredible dishes and how it was prepared. They helped create a desire to prepare and serve similar dishes at home.
For me the locations we visited and the surrounding areas were a treat. As a photographer I loved the opportunity to walk from place to place and capture the beauty and the passion of life there. Passion for life, for their history, their food and ultimately their culture helped me to understand where my family came from.
We highly recommend Sicily Lovers tour!!! Again Rosella and Gianca have created a tour that is amazing, capturing the essence of the passion that is Sicily. Do not miss out on this incredible tour.

Bravi, Bravi Bravi!!! Gianca and Rosella have managed to give all of us “The Experience of a Lifetime”. From the moment we arrived we all already new each other because of Gianca and Rosella’s suggestion to post our pictures with our names about a week before, by the time we officially met the first evening, we all basically knew each other and no formal introduction was required. Instead, everyone was hanging out and talking to each other about their connection with Sicily. That night we dined “Al-Fresco” and our local guide (Giuseppina) was impressively knowledgeable about the history of Palermo and cultural heritage in architecture and cuisine. The day ended on a great note…day 1 was a great day thinking there’s no way that day 2 would be the same, instead it was better, and that is how the rest of the tour went.
What made it unforgettable was the way Gianca and Rosella planned this tour. They left nothing to chance. They made sure they that hotel accommodations provided the best level of service by selecting all top notch 4 & 5 stars hotels. The restaurants one better than the other, with beautiful and memorable views. The local guides were experts in their fields with extensive knowledge of the local history as it was relatable to the historical time (Agrigento).
This tour boasted the best of everything. I don’t have a favorite place or activity that I can speak to, that’s because everywhere that we visited was the best. Whether it was the small little medieval town of Erice, where all 20 of us were invited to Chef Vito’s house for a traditional meal of fish based of “cous-cous”, or the “Sausage Making “ in Caccamo, or the Vintage Fiat 500 Rally in Modica, or the wine tasting in the hills of Mt. Etna in Catania, or the cooking class with Chef Massimo, where he had everyone with a job to do, and then we all enjoyed the fruits of our labor. I could go on and on and speak about how great this experience was, but I think you get the idea. Overall I can’t pick a best or a worst experience…everyday was simply better than the previous one. My best experience was the one that we were doing that day. But what I can tell you is what made this Sicily Lover’s Tour 2023, a success was Gianca and Rosella. They traveled with us, they wanted to know if everything was alright, they simply cared.

This was the best private custom tour I’ve taken. Gianca and Rosella planned every detail for maximum fun. We stayed at top rated hotels, ate at amazing local restaurants and toured in class with an amazing driver. The tours that were planned daily were perfect. We met local tour guides that were friendly and knowledgeable about all details. We had a cooking class at a local chef’s house in Erice, rode in Fiat 500 cars through Modica, sausage making in Caccamo, wine tasting at the foot of MT Etna and then climbed craters around the volcano just to name a few adventures we had during our 10 day tour. As a surprise, Gianca and Rosella surprised me on my birthday with a cake and celebrated with us. They planned our private tour to coincide with their group tour 2 nights and they planned a fantastic dinner for us to enjoy with them. Gianca and Rosella treat their clients like family. They go above and beyond. We will be booking our next trip with them.

Every detail was taken care for us.The hotels were all beautiful! And always in the right location. Our local driver and tour guides were so much fun! The FOOD!! Amazing every where we ate and always the most gorgeous views!
The private meals at the chefs houses the dinner at the palace in Palermo!
The best wines we ever had!
The vintage Fiat car rides through the streets of Modica it was thrilling!
We were with a great group of people and we all had a wonderful time eating, drinking and dancing together!
We both never felt we were on a tour we just felt like we were enjoying Sicily with family!

This is our second time on tour with Gianca and Rosella. Our first time was a private tour of 5 in 2021. This September we returned to celebrate a special birthday for our daughter. We joined their Sicily lovers group tour. Our private tour was an amazing experience. This time our group tour was even more amazing. We shared new experiences with a group of 20 wonderful people. Gianca and Rosella make everyone feel special. They take 20 strangers. Sprinkle their Sicilian magic and we become family. We laughed. We celebrated. We danced. We cooked. We ate a lot. We drank wine. A lot of wine. We had an amazing time. At the end of the tour we hugged our new friends and promised to stay in touch.
