We were a family group of 6. My wife and I had a grandson of 9 years, niece of 8, and two nephews 10 and 14. The river was high. Our guide (very experienced) took me aside and let me know he was going to make sure we kept the youngest two in the raft. The rapids were great - class 3 and 4 - and he held us together. The grandson was quite frightened, but Sean kept reassuring him and he made it through. Sean was assigned to us for a reason and he came through. Great guides, friendly people, great experience.

We had a great time on our first rafting trip. The staff/employees from making the reservation, the checkin at the outpost and tour guides were fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. Safety is a priority for this team here in Buena Vista which is appreciated for first timer rafters. Our trip was approx. 10 miles down Browns canyon and so much to see but don’t bring your phones as you may loose then and you are required to be paddling so no time for pictures. They did have some helmets that weee equipped to mount a Go Pro if you are so inclined. I suggest purchasing the photo package at time of your reservation to save $15 from the cost of purchasing at the outpost after. This trip is for everyone who loves the outdoors and adventure. I will be back!

Will was a great guide for our boat of 8 people! Half of our group had never been white water rafting, so it was a perfect Class 2/3 introduction for them. We all had a blast!

Brandon was our guide was amazing made our experience amazing first time ever being whitewater rafting and we enjoyed it. We stopped and ate lunch at a picnic area where Brandon cooked us some fajitas, white rice and black beans. My kids loved the food. It was my daughters 18th birthday and she had a blast. The water was cold but we had the best time ever. Thanks again Brandon!!!

Had a fantastic day - fun time on the river, lunch was wonderful. Kat did a great job as our guide. Thank goodness they provide a wetsuit and splash jacket - that water was cold!

We did the six hour rafting with an overnight stay and zip lining the next day. The rafting was amazing fun. It was our first time and we are ready to do it again. Our guide Alden was very experienced and we felt safe the whole time, even in the more challenging places. The cabins were great. They had the necessary amenities but still felt rustic. This was probably my favorite zip lining experience of any that I have had. The scenery was great and it had just enough climbing to make it a little challenging. Derrick and Dylan were great guides. Funny and engaging. I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to enjoy this part of Colorado.

This was our first time whitewater rafting and Christian made the experience unforgettable! My husband, 8 year old daughter and 12 year old son had a blast. We stayed in the cabin at AVA which helped us get the full Colorado experience.

This mid-June rafting trip for our party of 4 was an absolute blast. Our guide Chris was very personable and knowledgeable. The river was gorgeous and running strong. Class 2 and 3 rapids provided enough of a challenge to make for a thrilling adventure. Booking process was easy, as was check-in. AVA staff was helpful and great to deal with. We can't wait to do it again!

We had a fantastic day with Chad on the river...his knowledge was awesome and he fully engaged with our family. Our daughter is going to be a raft guide in NC this summer and Chad took the time to give her some great tips. Calen was the second part of the team, making sure our transportation and lunch was available. Calen was also very engaging. We would definitely request these guys again.
The river was awesome and the canyon is amazing to see!
A definite must do!
