We start the journey in comfort with our air-conditioned vehicles and begin with highlights of the local area. We then explore local food shops, gaining insight into Jamaican communities' daily lives and traditions.
From flavorful jerk chicken, curry goat, ackee & saltfish, patties, fruit stands, banana bread, and more! You'll get to sample various delicious foods and drinks not typically found in hotels. You will also get a brief history of the food and how it's made.

I came on this tour with my family for my 40th Birthday and Mark was AMAZING from start to finish. He was very informative and the places he tooks us had the BEST food and fruit. It was nice hearing from the locals and sharing a piece of their world. I would highly recommend this tour if you come and Mark as the tour guide. 10/10 for sure.

Our tour guide was Charles, he did such a great job teaching us about the land and Jamaica's culture. He is well informed on the different plants and fruit trees and their purpose. He also gave us some insight on the things he was taught as a child to look out for when it comes to living off the land. Charles was excellent!!! Would recommend hands down.

Charles was a great guide into the wonderful food of Jamaica. We were shocked how much better the food and especially the fruit was outside the resort. From the great conversation to education as well as making sure the trip was comfortable, easily 5 star 🌟 review and a highlight of our trip.

Charles was an amazing guide who had us laughing from the moment he picked us up. We got to try delicious fruit and some vegan options as well as some meats prepared jerk style and common snacks. We loved the curried goat- it’s a definite must try:)

Charles was our guide for the day and he was AMAZING!!! He was so nice and very knowledgeable about the food and how it’s grown and made. We learned so much about the Jamaican culture as it relates to food. Would highly recommend this tour.

Went on our excursion with Alrick Allen this morning… 4 hours of learning about Jamaica and laughter, all while eating the AMAZING food this island provides 🇯🇲💕
Stopped at a fruit stand to try two types of bananas, jack fruit, star apple, orange, “Ethiopian” apple, sugar cane and a coconut tart for later 🤩
Next up was a Rasta restaurant for all vegan (and incredibly delicious) banana fritter, peas and rice, bean stew, callaloo, and a “meat substitute” stew… I’d have thought it was a sausage if no one said anything!
Next, off the the Blue Diamond shopping center to try some “hard food” - goat curry with a festival (deep fried fritter), green banana, steamed fritter, yam, roasted pumpkin and fresh veggies.
Once we ate most of that, next stop was for patties (one beef, one chicken - we shared both so we could try everything!)
Then we stopped to grab some souvenirs (too bad it was cruise ship day in Montego Bay 😕) before heading to Scotchies Jerk Shack.
Was a fabulous, tasty trip 💕

Our tour guide “Charles” was wonderful - took us to some excellent food stands and restaurants. Tried a variety of local foods and gave us an extensive overview of the Jamaican culture. Would 100% recommend him and this tour as a top pick during your time in Jamaica.

The Premium Food Tour was absolutely brilliant. Every bit as good as the reviews suggest.
Charles was a truly fantastic guide. In addition to the food stops themselves he showed us places where food was grown and we learned so much. His passion for the island, the bounty of the flora, and the amazing independent food stalls/restaurants and the vendors was inspiring.
Jamaica is not cheap, but this was worth every penny. Charles is a truly wonderful guide and the food was delicious (brown stew at the restaurant and the patty from the bakery were the best I’ve ever had).
As others have advised, don’t eat anything before the tour. Possibly not even the day before!
It was one of the favourite days of our two weeks and was part of the overall reason we’ll be heading back to Jamaica soon!
