By far one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Elafonissi is situated on the south west coast. A tropical effect is created by its white and pink coral sands. Head to the right for shallow water in a small enclosed lagoon ideal for the children. A walk through the lagoon to the islet is most worthwhile as you will discover this unique coastline.

The beach was very busy but beautiful to look at and we got what we wanted from the trip, we enjoyed the caves and the stop in the village on the way back.

How good our guide was. She was very talkative , polite and socials. Sweetest lady ever, and the driver George was really good at his job. He borrowed my daughter swimming goggles, because we had forgotten ours at the hotel.

Wunderschöne leicht rosafarbene Beach, sogar in der Vorsaison stark frequentiert- in der Hauptsaison würde ich den Platz meiden. Klares türkisblaues Meer, sauber und unglaublich schöner Blick. Parken kostet 5 € und man läuft dann noch locker einen Kilometer durch die Hitze. Unbedingt Trinkwasser mitnehmen.

It was a wonderful tour but I agree with other reviews you do spend more time on bus than land😂 at least for us that we were on the other side of the island (Crete) in Kiani. We had to pay extra 60 euros to take us to meet point. So plan accordingly to your stay point. The other thing is bring closed shoes. There is some hiking to a cave and 15 min walk from where bus leaves you to the beach itself.
Other than that it was really really fun..,,,Jo and George made it amazing. Esfaristo Elofanissi🇬🇷

Air conditioned coach took us to elafonisi beach and back. There was a pit stop at a cave and a small takeaway cafe on the way there. About 3-4 hours was budgeted at the beach itself. Then on return trip back stop at Elos for a taverna or walk around the small town. Trip ran smoothly and as per planned in itinerary. There are no toilets on the coach so take note to go before starting your journey.

This day trip was incredible. Me and my friend hopped on the bus at 8am and we were met with an amazing host Simona. She gave us so many stories and told us so much history about Greece and Crete, it was very informative! We stopped somewhere for a small breakfast and a little hike to a cave. Amazing. Then we hoped back on the bus and went to Elafonsi and that was the best beach I’ve ever been to in my life. It had pink sand, a the bluest blue water. We were blown away by the view and we got so many amazing photos!! Then we went on a lovely drive back to Chania, we stopped at this lovely restaurant with the most amazing view of the edge of the island of Crete. And then back to drop us off. Well worth the money and Simona was amazing, she was so knowledgeable and so so lovely giving us recommendations and tips for our future travels, she even pointed us in the direction of this lovely old man who has his own homemade food stall. We bought some olive oil and honey and they were both the best thing I’ve ever tasted! I bought extra to bring back to my family. He grows the bees right there at Elafonsi and he was just so lovely, you could see the hard work he puts in. All up such a worth while day and would definitely recommend

Very well organised from pickups to drop-offs. The guide (I think her name was Jo), was very informative and gave a lot of interesting cultural facts along the way which you wouldn’t otherwise know. The beach was gorgeous regardless of there not being ‘pink sand’. The sun is strong but I didn’t feel the need to buy the parasol as I was wearing a long sleeve top and the cool breeze made the 3+ hrs on the beach very pleasant. You will get your moneys worth for sure.
