Discover Buenos Aires from an anthropological point of view. Don't expect to just walk and listen: be prepared to talk, make questions, taste mate and discuss about the past, present and future of the Argentinean capital.
Beginning in General San Martín Plaza and ending in Recoleta Cementery, this walk offers you the chance to approach this beautiful city from its historical past in an attempt to understand its current present.
Why was Buenos Aires called "the Paris of South America"? Who "inhabits" the Recoleta cemetery and what mysteries does it contain? What was the "Belle Epoque" and how did it change the city? Which was the role of large landlords in the development of the country? Was Argentina really a world economic power?
These are just some of the many questions we will try to answer in our walk through the most aristocratic part of town.

Fantastic tour! Can’t recommend it highly enough! Ignacio shared a wealth of information about the neighborhood, the history, and Buenos Aires generally. And he was a pleasure to talk to. If you want a walking tour, look no further. This is it.

A great tour if you want to get to know Argentina beyond the most obvious tourist sights. Sofía is a great guide with loads of knowledge and answers to pretty much every question we could come up with.

We toured with Nicolas and really appreciated his knowledge and ability to explain the history of Buenos Aires. The tour groups are kept small so that it is more of a personal experience. We started our first tour on the day of our arrival and got to experience Buenos Aires through the eyes of this highly educated, kind, fun and generous with his time guide.

This tour is awesome. It is packed with information about Recoleta, how it came to where it is today and will leave you with a much better knowledge of Buenos Aires and Argentina.
Anyone coming to Buenos Aires should go on this tour. I would say it is by far the best thing we did in the four weeks we spent in Buenos Aires.
Nicolas is extremely knowledgeable. Not only about his countrys history but also with tips to where to go (bar notables, museums, cities etc) when you are in Argentina.

Sofi was an incredible guide! She has extensive knowledge and speaks passionately on Recoleta’s history. She recommended a few restaurants and bars along the way, which I’m excited to try! I did this one after completing Nico’s other tour, which I’d also recommend!
