From Brussels drive to Namur and drive over the Meuse river and all the way to Bastogne.Snack lunch (not incl.) See the Sherman tank, the McAuliffe square, the Patton square and the Mardasson memorial. Walk to the foxholes at Bois Jacques before returning to Brussels (2h drive). NEW! Optional visit to the Bastogne War Rooms, the McAuliffe’s historical cellar where he uttered his famous "NUTS" in response to the surrender request from German forces besieging the town of Bastogne (extra charge).
During this tour I shall introduce you to Belgium and the Ardennes region. We'll talk about history, education, economy, politics and more! As I'm not an expert in military history, the in-depth details about the Battle of the Bulge will be exposed to you at the exhibition via an original design interspersed with three “scénovisions”, authentic multi-sensorial and 3D dramatizations, which enable full immersion in History!
NOTE: this is a semi-private tour (max.4guests)

One more comment from my prior comment. We did not go to the Patton memorial. We could have driven by the place at 45 mph but was not pointed out. Excluded from the tour because guide was rushing to get home.

Joyce is a very nice person but knows nothing about the history of the Battle of the Bulge. The tour advertisement should make this clear upfront the tour is merely a car and driver (an expensive one) ride to the Bastogne Museum and a rushed stop at the foxholes. It's more of a driver to take you to the museum from Brussels rather than a tour with a historian talking to you about the battle during the 2 hour drive to the museum. We went to the museum and then to see the Band of Brothers fox holes. Joyce was in a hurry to leave to return to Brussels. There was an app you could use when visiting the foxholes. She said to ignore it because it was in French, not true. We felt very rushed and missed the enjoyment of looking around the historic site. While leaving we drove by the headquarters of the 101st airborne but it was said as we zipped by in the missing any potential to see what she was talking about. I would recommend you either hire a car and drive from Brussels to Bastogne or hire someone to drive you to the sits and let you visit and see everything while you are there and not feel rushed. I can not recommend this site for a tour in Belgium based on my experience on this tour. I basically feel I missed so much for an expensive tour.

Our guide was fantastic - knowledgeable and interactive. The trip to Bastone was personal as a descendant of an Easy Company soldier so digging a little deeper on specific activities was endorsed and supported. The guide and the trip exceeded our expectations. The greatest generation - no question.

Guide was a no show. Could not reach anyone with Viator. Left message never returned. Eventually heard from tour operator who said she never received confirmation from viator and had another booking. My vacation was ruined. They do not care just a marketing company not a tour company.

This was one of the most informative and enjoyable tours that my wife and I have experienced. Joyce picked us up at our hotel and drove to Bastogne while pointing out areas of interest and culture in Brussels and all along the way. For example, we stopped in the town of Namur on the River Meuse. We drove up onto a high promontory above the town. At the top is a citadel whose current form dates to the 17th century. She has an unparalleled wealth of information on just about any subject. My wife, who is a World War II history buff, peppered her with questions, all of which she skillfully answered. The World War II museum in Bastogne is a must see and Joyce was able to give us pointers before we went in. We also visited the Bois Jacques a protected area that has the remains of foxholes that were dug by American troops in preparation for the German advance. The tour was a full day well worth our time and money.

It never happened because I had to cancel due to illness, left two emails to Viator asking for a full refund, and never received a reply from Viator.
What a ripoff!
I don't think I'll ever book Viator again!

The museum in Bastogne is a terrific experience. If you are having lunch before or after try Brasserie Le Nut's and don't forget to have an Airborne Beer
