There was a mixup with our booking - lucky for us, because we ended up getting a private tour. Edna was our guide and she made our tour truly perfect. She was very knowledgeable and took her time to explain the history of the cenote along with Mayan legends and interesting information about the culture. The cave is one of a kind as you will find massive stalactites here, some of which are older than 500,000 years. The cenote itself is shallow and the water is quite chilly, but still very special and enjoyable. After the tour, we had dinner which was wonderful. All in all, we felt very well looked after, everybody was friendly and very attentive and worked hard to make this an unforgettable experience!

A lot of attention to detail was put into this place and it’s easy to see this upon arrival. We have seen many many underground caves in Yucutan and QRoo and this one is definitely one of the nicest. The tour with Myan mythology and the tribal music all made for a lovely atmosphere. We were disappointed to miss the shaman part of the tour, because we saw him and know he was around, but we realize some logistical difficulties were being encountered on this particular evening. The dinner was lovely, great service, great food, great atmosphere. We loved it all!

Excellent experience with a lot of respect for the place. And Mayan history, and Mayan food. In the jungle. A. One of the largest cenotes I have ever seen. Spectacular.

Wow what a magical experience!! I have been in many Cenotes but this was breathtaking and to swim in the bottom was just lovely, refreshing but actually not too cold. The tour was interesting, pointing out the different parts of the cave, and just great for photo opportunities. Loved it!! Would definitely go back and will when we have other visitors coming to Mexico. Would highly highly recommend it.

This was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. Driving to the cenote using Google maps was easy and straightforward- maybe 40 minutes from Valladolid. The family that runs the cenote do a really nice job of explaining the significance of cenotes in Maya culture and mythology. The cenote itself was crystal clear, well lit and safely navigable for anyone without mobility issues. The lighting, water color, and stalactites/ stalagmites made the whole place feel magical. I would highly recommend visiting this cenote for an amazing and uncrowded experience.

This was an amazing experience!
We booked an evening tour at 7 and came a bit late, because it was hard to find. If you don’t have a car you should deff book it through the company directly. It is 500 pesos for both ways.
Besides it is cheaper. We didn’t know.. If you take a taxi it is about 400-500 pesos for one way. (From Valladolid)
Anyway this was a really nice experience. Our guide was the daughter of the owner and she was very nice and spoke great English.
We were alone on the trip, which was amazing because many of the other Cenotes are full of other tourists, which kind of ruins some of the experience. So this was perfect. We could swim around and after we got some food. Pollo, beans and rice and some chips and guacamole, delicious food and a really sweet waiter.
Our guide told us that you can actually sleep at their place. Couldn’t really see it because it was dark at the night, but the atmosfere seamed amazing!
Go for it!

Wow! This was just unreal. The cenote was magical and our guide, Manuel enthusiastically explained Mayan history and religious custom to us, and the history of the cenote. The dinner was delicious and we were welcomed by yet another very kind staff member. We also learned about Mayan chocolate and ceremonial drinks. This place is beautiful and you can stay in a cabin there and listen to the sounds of the forest. Highly recommend.

This was such an amazing experience. I booked this tour for just myself and I did not expect to be the only one. I had the entire cenote to myself. Manuel, my guide, was super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I will not forget this tour anytime soon. I booked this tour because it was cheaper but I would recommend booking the tour that includes transportation (which you can also find on Viator), you get a better deal. I didn’t realize how far the cenote was and required transportation anyways.
