Our guide was full of knowledge, and sooo welcoming. He went ABOVE and BEYOND from our first contact until we left at the end of the day. It was the best tour of our trip. We left feeling like part of the family. I am a travel agent and will be sending all my clients his way. We were blessed to have met him and had the perfect day.

Paolo took our family on a beautiful scenic hike to the castle. He explained the history of the area and fed us a tasty Italian meal at his home! We stayed in the most cosy apartment with a gorgeous view in a mid evil village. Such an original experience for our family!

This was our best experience in Italy! We chose to stay in the village the night before our hike, adding to the overall experience. Our guide and host, Paolo, was so kind, helpful and very informative. We met some wonderful people, as well. I love to meet people from countries I visit, as I can learn about their culture. I highly recommend it! My family, including teen daughters, also agreed it was the best part of our trip.

My experience went beyond my expectations. I was enchanted by everything that surrounded us: from the lake and the castle, to the culinary offerings, from the professionality of the guides to the beauty of the landscape all around. We felt like we were in a fairy tale! I highly recommend it.

We really enjoy the scenery of the whole area surrounding Castel di Tora. The perfect mix of mountains and lake and the incredible ancient village raising up atop a rock is undoubtedly beautiful!
Also Paolo, the guide, proved to be very competent and knowledgeable both of the place and of its ancient tradition.

the guide Paolo was very appasionate e really well know the places.
The view was incredible, as well the medieval village.
last but not least the food was SO good, the best we had in our Italy's trip.
the only to change would be.... to stay longer!

Went on many tours while in Italy, however Castel de Toro was by far the BEST! The guide, Paolo, was extremely friendly and helpful. He knew everything about the area and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time! He also gave us many helpful pointers on travel in Rome, as it was our first time in Europe. The experience and the guide were amazing, and so was the awesome real Italian meal!! Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone!

If you do not book this tour you will miss out on a one of a kind experience. This was both me and my husbands favorite experience during our 8 days in Rome. We want to go back just for this experience. The tour was great. It was an easy hike with breathtaking views. My husband and I loved everything about this experience especially our your guide and the fact that he invited us to his home. The food was SO good and very authentic!
