Join me and I'll open you the doors of Turano Valley one of the hidden gem of our region, where you can make a jump into the past, among small villages, lush nature, green mountains for a great hike within old trees, waterfalls to admire, huge castles to discover, blue lakes where you can swim/kayak/sailing, and more.
I'll take on kayak on the lake (in summer) and hike our tracks until the peaks (not difficult -;) inside the Park, of which I'm an official Guide, telling lots of info about flora, fauna, history and legends of this unchanged Italy.
I'll show you fantastic spots for your pictures and we'll meet together the locals.
I'll host you for the night in one of the "Top 100's Italian villages", in an old stone house fully renovated, with fireplace and a big terrace overlooking the sunset, with an amazing lake view.

An incredible journey led by a gracious host, Paolo. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Hike the mountains, swim/kayak the lake, explore the village and enjoy breathtaking vistas. The food provided was local, and scrumptious. Paolo’s knowledge of the area is impressive, from the neighboring villages, to the plants, animals, and geography of the area. The location of our apartment was directly in Castel di Tora (gorgeous apartment) with heavenly views of the lake and mountain. Not too far from Rome, this is the perfect getaway. Bring some hiking/athletic shoes. Would do it all again! Thanks Paolo.

We had a great time with Melina and Paolo. They're very knowledgeable of the local culture, history, flora, fauna, and cuisine and explained us a lot. The hike was very nice, with glorious views. The guestroom and bathroom were quiet, clean and comfortable. For dinner Melina served yummy homemade local dishes and wine. As we're vegetarian and non-vegetarian, two different first and second courses were served, which was great.

The host was really helpful and told us the history of each of the points in detail which we thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed in a beautiful house where we had delicious meals and played some games

I spent a couple of days with a friend in Castel di Tora, a charming small town overwhelming the Turano lake.
Our accomodation was a charming house that offered everything we were expecting and more, the right place to stay after a demanding activity, relaxing around a fireplace while tasting good food.
And what to say about the lake view from the terrace?…it was really breathtaking!
We had a two days trek, an awesome experience in a small group of hikers, with Giampaolo as our guide. He was really supportive and very patient and took care of every detail.
Moreover, it was great to have a guide so knowledgeable about local history.
The hikes were challenging but really awesome in terms of mountain beauty and wonderful views, so we ended with a great sense of satisfaction.
Everything was perfectly organized and communication was great too.
I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to hike in this incredibly beautiful part of Italy.

while we were on vacation in Rome we found this Experience, and we decided to spend two days in nature, discovering different places.
We had a great time! we saw places that otherwise we would never have found on our own: a blue lake nestled between green mountains, where we did trekking - not difficult - on the mountains, saw medieval villages where life is as in the past, had a tour on the lake, explored the waterfalls and Renaissance's castles, met the locals and enjoyed delicious food (homemade pasta!), as well as sleeping in a stone house, completely renovated, with a breathtaking lake view.
Thanks to Paolo and Turano Experiences for making us live two unforgettable days, we will bring the memory of this Experience forever with us!

I want to thank Paolo for showing us the hidden gems of Turano Valley
Our trip to was a real discover of enchanted places and exciting surprises, Paolo took the 3 us for a hiking to the natural park, he picked the least impervious path because our six years old daughter was with us, he /// gave us many info about the flora/fauna and the area's history. we walked through woods, wild horses and an eagle above us, until arriving at the peak, where we had a 360’ view with some snow peaks in front of us.
On the way back we visited an enchanting medieval village with a huge rock and narrow streets, a different Italy we really appreciated.
We spent the night in an old house, fully renovated with old furnitures, with a breathtaking view
Then we had our BEST dinner while in Italy, with hand made pastas, yummy local cheese and great wine!
the second day we spent the day at the Turano lake where we enjoyed every moment of swimming, sunbathing, taking a boat/kayak tour or and relaxing (all the activities are included in the price).
He also recommended a bakery where we bought specialties to bring back with us.
I want to add that the choice my wife made to go to the Turano Experience was almost fortuitous and not planned but we really felt so lucky to have made such a choice and we are looking forward to going back
