Day Trip to Isla Mujeres with Lunch

This excursion was sublime, we were picked up from the hotel directly and took the ferry to Isla Mujeres, a magnificent and typical Mexican island!
We were accompanied by our guide Marion, a super beautiful and very friendly person! This day was the best because we were a small group of 8 people and we were really able to enjoy the beach in the morning, followed by lunch by the sea and finally a golf cart ride in the island, we were even able to do a little shopping!

Our trip to Isla Mujeres was fantastic!! It was a whole day trip which is what we wanted as we didn’t want the hurry up get it over thing. We wanted to truly see Isla and relax which is what we got. Maria was our travel guide and she was fantastic! We started with a ferry ride over from Puerto Juárez. When we landed we went to the famous Playa Norte beach where we had loungers at the wonderful Maya Beach Club. We relaxed while having drinks then a wonderful lunch. From there we boarded golf carts and went to the famous Punta Sur on the south end of the island and the national park there where we saw sea turtles and the sight of the water was the best I’ve ever seen. My wife’s birthday was that day and Maria lined up a nice feliz compleanos for here at the beach club. It truly was the best day trip both of us had been on yet.

Everything you could want in a tour of Isla. If you don’t want to be rushed around and only spend a couple of hours on Isla, this tour is for you. We went over on the ferry and spent a good amount of time lounging at the Maya Beach Club while getting drinks. The club is on Playa Norte so it is perfecto. We had a wonderful lunch there also before taking golf carts as a group to the South Beach end of Isla at Punta Sur. The sights were amazing as we watched the sea turtles in the ocean and walked the south end park. All in all it was something to always remember.

The visit to the island was interesting, however, the excessive crowds and tight schedules were obstacles. When we arrived to collect the golf carts scheduled for our island tour, they were not reserved and we were suggested to take the tour by boat, as the agency manager had not authorized our Nadia guide to rent elsewhere. Ultimately, I had to personally speak with the manager to resolve the situation. Nadia demonstrated excellent management and eventually found other golf cars.

Superb excursions with Del mundo Tours, we did 4: Isla Mujeres, Tsonoti, Tortues and Aqua Wonder.
Very beautiful memories and Marion, the brilliant guide.
If we return to Playa del Carmen, we will not hesitate to do tours again with this agency.
