1. Causeway Coastal Route
While on the extended version of the Giant's Causeway Experience we travel the coastal route to the attractions. The route is roughly 50 miles to our first location and roughly 70 miles all in. You will travel along some of the finest roads in Ireland and with the opportunity to stop for images, refreshments and restroom breaks, you're sure to bring back some magnificent shots from the day trip to the shore and Giant's Causeway.
2. Giant's Causeway
The Giants Causeway, the main attraction of the North Antrim Coast is one of the brightest and best attractions on the whole island of Ireland. The Causeway itself has plenty of Irish myths for your guide to tell while your visit to the attraction is under way. To see the Giants Causeway is certainly breath-taking but to experience it with the beliefs of a giant actually building it, is another. The hexagonal patterns that create the different structure like formations through the rocks can be verified by none other than yourself with things like 'The Wishing Chair', 'The Camel', 'The Giants Foot' and the Cliff-Top Path, all of which you will be shown during your experience! Admission to the Giants Causeway is free although there are operational shuttle buses that cost £1 for transport to the Causeway from the carpark, alternatively you can walk the route with no cost at all. Admission to the Giant's Causeway is free, there is a separate fee into the visitors centre.
3. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge
The Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge was first established in 1755 – nearly 265 years ago! In its day there was only one single hand rail and the odd wooden slate every few steps. It was highly unsafe and a real thrill seeker may have found the excitement in crossing. The bridge has massively evolved from then to create a safer experience whilst keeping the excitement and thrill of crossing intact. Located along a stretch of the North Antrim Coast, the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge sits roughly 100 feet over the hollow waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The crossing is often considered daring and for thrill-seekers due to the bridges tendencies to sway in the wind and the drop from looking down. We find this is a great stop and a great piece of the North Antrim Coast to include on our Giants Causeway Tour. **Please Note** - Admission to the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge is done via time slots and bookings. If you are looking to cross the bridge please get in touch and we'll assist you on times to suit your your.
4. The Dark Hedges
Final stop before our return to Belfast is The Dark Hedges again this is a famous Game of Thrones film set where 'The King's Road' was placed. The trees dating back to 1775 were placed to create an imposing look into the Gracehill House Estate. There is a legend that the ghost of Grey Lady comes to the tree's and crosses from tree to tree. The lady is claimed to be the spirit of James Stuarts' daughter or one of the house maids from the Gracehill House. This is quickly becoming a piece of heritage within the North of Ireland and is a fantastic spot for Game of Thrones fans and normal tourists!
5. Ballycastle Harbour
Situated on the spectacular North Coast of Northern Ireland, Ballycastle is a traditional, friendly seaside town, which provides an excellent base to explore such attractions as the Giant’s Causeway and The Glens of Antrim.
6. Dunluce Castle
Dunluce Castle is a medieval castle ruin that has been persevered and kept to display the history off the North Coast and the territorial war that happened between the 15th and 16th Century. The castle in itself has been documented to be in existence from the 13th century making it nearly 800 years old! To still be standing and preserved to experience and appreciate is a special feeling whilst on the grounds. We make a stop over for a walk around the castle site that has some fantastic photo opportunities.
7. Bushmills Distillery
Join one of the Bushmills whiskey educators to see first-hand how the craft of whiskey- making is carried out at the Distillery. Walk with them through the living history of the Bushmills grain-to-glass processes, experiencing the impressive sights and rich scents of each stage from mash tun to pot still to barrel. Then complete your tour in the 1608 bar to taste for yourself the culmination of more than 400 years of expertise and innovation.
8. Ballintoy Harbour
Ballintoy Harbor or to Game of Thrones Fans, known as 'Iron Islands' is a spectacular spot along the North Antrim Coast that welcomes thousands of tourists each year. We make a brief stopover at the harbor for an opportunity to visit the spot, take a walk and take some pictures. It's a truly outstanding harbor placed on a piece of the coast you have to experience for yourself.
9. Dunseverick Castle
Dunseverick castle is an old ruin situated on an insulated rock,near the centre of a small bay,three miles east of the Giants Causeway.
10. Magheracross Viewing Point
Magheracross View Point is situated on the Dunluce Road, Bushmills, County Antrim. The purpose-built viewing platform offers panoramic views of the Causeway Coast's stunning natural environment and coastal headlands. Visitors to the view point can enjoy views of the iconic Dunluce Castle and the Skerries, as well as the vast sandy dunes of Whiterocks Beach - one of many Blue Flag awarded beaches in the Causeway Coast and Glens.
11. White Park Bay
White Park Bay is located between Ballintoy Harbour and the Giants Causeway,its a magnificent arc of white sand located along the coast.Sheep and cattle graze the hills and its also a have for wildlife. Photo stop.

This was an outstanding tour. Everything was a smooth process from the time of booking on viator to the company confirming pick up with us when we exited the cruise ship. Our guide spent so much time with us making sure we were able to see everything we could in one day. He did not pressure us on time and was so nice. Iceland is beautiful and we will be back and use this company again! Highly recommend!

The beautiful land of Ireland. I vlogged this spectecular island top to bottom in and out of every field, road and hill!

This location is based along the coast, presents a beautiful array of hexagonal patterend stones and comes with a quirky Irish tale. If you are looking a spot to quick back for the sun going down. This is it.

Visited during lockdown - super time to go, very quiet.

I've just taken the notion to begin my reviews of my travels over the years. Outcame the diary and this amazing adventure was first on the list. The Giant's Causeway, a magnificent wonder with plenty to see, a great hike to take and scenary to see!

We took a tour to the location from Belfast. We found our guide extremely informative, pleasent and extremely funny - "I just wish I could rememeber his name" - as it's wrote in my diary ha!

It was an amazing experience and I wish to go back in the next few years when the world opens up to us again.

It was an extremely great tour. The driver, Kevin, and Rachel, the guide, were excellent. Both were very informative and told us much of the history and folklore. We saw many places and things including Carrick Rede bridge. I would highly recommend this tour.

Had a great day out with all my mates... Our driver Paul found out we really enjoyed Game of Thrones on the television and took us round some of the various sights from the show as an added extra. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Northern Ireland.

Our story begins with the original tour we had booked with a different tour company that cancelled on us last minute. FORTUNATELY we were able to rebook with Giant's Causeway Experience. We were a small group driven in 2 very comfortable vans. We were even provided with water and some chips for snacking. We all agreed luck was with us because we had an AMAZING time during our tour which involved seeing the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Dark Hedges, Dunluce castle, the Peacewall, and even stopping by to take a picture in front of the Titanic museum. Paul McCafferty is an amazing tour guide! Do not hesitate to book a tour with him.
