The stars were so beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable. The laser was the best part to help us see exactly which stars they were referring to. The chairs were not comfortable to look up in the sky.

I thought it was a bit long--surprisingly! I was worried that an hour wouldn't be enough time. But it was very informative and cool. You can't use your blacklight, which I didn't love because there must be critters in that field. But luckily they stay away when people are around. The tour includes blankets and telescopes, but it is also a good idea to bring your own binocular, which we did. It does get chilly (even in June), so I would bring a layer.

The instructor was very knowledgeable – perhaps too knowledgeable for people who just wanted some general information and an opportunity to see stars through his telescope. We met our guide/assistant in a dark parking lot, and we walked through a school sports field. Chairs were aligned in a semi circle with a blanket on each seat. The instructor sat in front of the group but it was too dark to actually see him. You also had to listen closely to hear him. Large telescopes were positioned behind the chairs for groups of 5-6 people. We listened to explanations/descriptions, and then we walked to the telescope to try to observe. The assistant came around to each group to try to help us. Saw some interesting things but not something we would visit again

Stargazing Tour cancelled due to weather conditions. So very disappointing as skies looked clear with limited scattered clouds.

Not mad, just sad. Seven hour drive from home so we couldn’t reschedule.

Regards,
Patrick Hennes

My wife and I were looking forward to our stargazing tour with Sedona Stargazing Tour, scheduled for 10:30 PM on a Thursday. Unfortunately, due to poor communication from the company, we could not participate.

Initially, we received an email indicating a time change to 9:00 PM, which was manageable. Following the instructions, we arrived at the designated location by 8:35 PM but found no signs or staff to confirm we were in the right place. Despite arriving early and driving around to ensure we hadn't missed anything, by 9:05 PM, it was clear something was amiss.

With no cell service in the area, we had to drive out to make a call. When we finally reached someone from the company, we were informed that the tour had been canceled and that a notification had been sent via text – a text we never received. Our primary communication had been through email, and not having access to our usual cell numbers due to using a temporary US SIM card seems to have complicated the matter.

It was frustrating and disappointing to miss out on what could have been a memorable part of our trip. Better consistency in communication methods or ensuring all guests' contact preferences are accommodated could prevent such issues in the future.

great experience. The guide was forthwithe with information about the stars. The telescopes were top notch and easy to understand. This was one of the highlights of our trip out west. Take the time to do this, it well worth it.

Stunning view of the stars! Learned a lot about astronomy and even got to see a StarLink Satellite launch. Tour guides were very knowledgable and I appreciated the warm blanket provided. I saw my first shooting star. Would recommend to any one visiting Sedona!
