The bike was dropped at my hotel and the hotel called, to tell me the bike was waiting. It was nicely secured in the parking garage. Shortly thereafter, my tour guide Joel, an avid bicyclist arrived at 900 am as scheduled. After a short safety lesson and securing my helmet which was attached to the bike, we started out. This was a Sunday and the only reason I decided to take this bike tour was because on Sundays and holidays in Bogota, they close down miles of public highways for bikes, joggers, skaters, pets, and families. This was like hanging out with the locals to get fit and healthy! The weather was great and Joel was such an excellent guide; always checking in on my safety, stopping to talk about points of interest, and local history. We took our bikes to some posh neighborhoods and came upon the most amazing open market with handmade gifts and delicacies. Overall, a very healthy tour of a large section of the city. What a way to see Bogota! I highly recommend this tour, which was conducted in English.

The tour was very well planned with landscapes such as the spectacular Simón Bolívar Park. The punctuality and ease of leaving from your Hotel make it much more comfortable. Excellent service!! And the guide is very friendly.

I went on a bike tour with Joel in December and it was one of the best days of my life. I was alone in Bogota and wanted to see the sights and I couldn't image a better way than biking with Joel! He knows so much about the history of Colombia and has extensive knowledge about every part of the city. I learned so much, ate a fabulous meal, got my heart rate up, and had an experience that I will never forget. Joel is fluent in both English and Spanish so he was even able to teach me some Spanish. If you're going to Bogota, you absolutely have to do this. I am still talking about it two months later because that's how awesome it was. Huge thanks to Joel for making my time in Bogota really special!!!

Our group of 6 had a fantastic experience with Tom as our guide, biking the city and touring some of the museums and landmarks. We had set up a private bike tour through the Four Seasons who had arranged everything, and it was seamless from the start. Tom met us at the hotel, had the bikes already there (and the bikes Hansa Tours use are top notch & better than what you get w/ many tour companies catering to tourists), and he handled our group perfectly - it was just the right amount of biking vs stopping. Our group is just recreational bikers so we should have been a bit more prepared - Bogota is at high altitude and thus I'd suggest you eat a hearty breakfast in advance (we did not, so we were struggling toward the end). We also were not aware that the tour would include stops in some museums (Botero, Santa Clara) which were super interesting - and Tom is very knowledgeable about the city, city history, and art. We were pretty tired coming off a long travel day so would have been okay skipping this part, but I actually blame the hotel for not providing us [in advance] the detailed info about how long the tour was/what the tour would include; not the tour company's fault. Plus it worked out as we got to see more than we expected, and Tom was very empathetic letting us finish early as we were tired & hungry. Highly recommend Hansa and most of all Tom, as he was fun, informative, and a great guide!

We had a great day with our wonderful guide Tomas. We rode our bikes on Sunday as many of the roads are closed for vehicles so that bikers can enjoy the city without dodging traffic. They city is not hilly and the weather is always pleasant. We would highly recommend seeing the city this way.
