My husband and I went on this tour. David Rodriguez was our tour guide and he was great! Well worth the money. What I loved about getting a tour guide is, you get the history behind everything you see. I would not recommend if you have small children because you will be walking for 2 hours straight with a couple of 5-10 minute breaks only. David was patient and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

David was an excellent, knowledgeable tour guide! I loved the rich historical perspective he offered throughout the tour. It gave me a genuine appreciation for this gem of a city and for Puerto Rico as a country!

My husband and I went with our 2 teenagers June 2024. I'm from Puerto, but my husband and kids aren't. I recommend this tour because there's so much history in Old San Juan that I could've never been able to appropriately explain to my family. The guide, David, is awesome. He was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. He was funny at times. He offered to take photos of us together. David KNOWS his job well! I recommend him, and would do it again if I was visiting with different people. **Note: the tour is a few hours long, and you must dress comfortably and wear very comfortable shoes. It's a lot of walking; with various uphills.

I took my 14yo daughter on this walking tour since this was her first trip to PR.
It was a good pace, not rushed and our guide shared lots of knowledge and detail. He kept the group safe and together and offered fun facts along with historical detail.
I don't think younger children would benefit from this tour, but all of the adults and my one teen who were on this tour were engaged throughout.
