Very nice tour with great little bits of information along the way, e.g. whether this is a temple or a shrine and why. The little treats were well chosen and all tasted great! The different things we tried were particularly nice, there was everything from sweet to spicy. A really great tour that was really fun, we would love to come back to Nagoya ^^

Lena from "Nagoya is not Boring" was a fantastic tour guide - patient, knowledgeable and friendly! Being a local, she has experience with this area so the tour was particularly detailed and full of excellent local information.
We visited a small local shrine and she talked about the significance of some of the symbols and the correct way to wash your hands and give offerings.
Then we walked towards the Osu Shopping Street to stop for some green tea and sweets in a beautiful boutique tea shop. Along the way she pointed out lots of beautiful Japanese gardens and also took us to see a 200 year old Bonsai tree.
I’m not a huge fan of green tea, but this was fantastic. She provided lots of information about the tea and how to drink it and we had a nice chat about Nagoya.
Next we went to the Osu Shopping Street to try some local street food - Grilled rice on a stick that's been dipped in red miso sauce (I think it was called Menshi), mochi dango and one of the best egg sandwiches I’ve ever had (not from 711)
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone staying in Nagoya. Excellent experience!!

We enjoyed our tour with Erica. We had been in Japan on a cruise for a few days already, and she explained more about shrines and temples than our previous guides. The food places she took us too were tasty as well. She brought us to places we would not have know how or what to order on our own. Highly recommend to this tour to try various street foods.

Our foodie guide Erica was wonderful & very informative about the food that we were eating & all the questions that we asked. All food tastes are catered for and we can thoroughly recommend doing this tour in Nagoya, very casual and great 2 hours very well spent exploring the local cuisines at the Market, especially the chicken balls 10/10. After the 2 hrs you can continue to shop and explore the area or go look in on a Temple or Shine is the same area. A huge thank you once again. The Campbell Family

Lena was so knowledgeable about Nagoya and the area, this is more than a street food tour and i would recommend doing it at the start of your trip if possible.
You will learn interesting facts about the area , local food, and Japanese culture. Leana was generous with her time and answered all our questions.
The food we sample was all delicious, ( if you do the tour at 11am maybe don't have breakfast) . We found the portion sizes and amount of food tried to be juat right.
Highly recommend this tour.

I visited Nagoya in early July but due to COVID a lot of tours were
not running. I reached out to Nagoya Foodie Tour and Lena was so
helpful. She was able to accommodate our schedule for a private street
food tour and also another custom tour of the fish market in Nagoya.
The tours had to be private because of COVID which I appreciated and
felt safe with while walking around the city. The street food tour had
a good mix of history and cuisine mixed throughout the 2.5 hours. Some
of the regular spots that the tour would visit were closed or shut
early. I think the regular run tour would probably have a little more
variety but I got a good sense of the cuisine of Nagoya. The sites of
Nagoya were beautiful although someone what longer than I expected. I
did really enjoy the option to make a wish at multiple temples and
shrines.

The next day Lena took us to the fish market and showed us around. We
got to talk with some of the vendors and see all the different seafood
that is local to Nagoya. It was very interesting and not as crowded as
I would expect Tokyo’s fish market to be. After we walked around to
the Endoji Shopping Street. It was very similar to the Osu area we
visited the night before but as it was the morning, it was not busy
and stores were still closed. My favorite part was when Lena took us
to a classic coffee spot in Nagoya to experience their coffee culture.
It was great to see how locals eat and socialize.

I would recommend taking the tours offered with Nagoya Foodie Tour. I
hope that they are able to make the fish market tour a regular thing
as well in the future. Don’t miss out on this fun and unique option
when visiting the city
