PATH OF THE GOLD - WATERFALLS - ALAMBIQUE

Stunning waterfalls, natural pools and lots of greenery await you on a delightful walk along the ancient path of Gold. Knowing all that nature offers us in the midst of the Atlantic Forest, as well as sampling the sweets and cachaças of the region, is a must-see!

2 waterfalls complexes will be visited. The first one inside the Pedra Branca Farm, where you can find the Usina and Pedra Branca waterfalls.

After a refreshing swim, we continue to the Parana or Pedra Branca Alembic, where we will have a guided tour to discover all the secrets of the famous cachaças in Paraty, including the famous GABRIELA carnation and cinnamon!

Afterwards we will go to the second complex of Waterfalls in the Penha neighborhood.

There you can find the 2 most famous waterfalls in Paraty: Tarzan and Tobogã. The latter famous by the natural slide of approximately 20 meters.

We will have lunch at Tarzan's restaurant, we will return to the city. Cheese tasting at the end

2. Alambique Paratiana
Stop to taste cachaça and sweets. 30 minutes Guided presentation of how true Paraty cachaça is made. Afterwards, tasting of cachaças and liqueurs. Cachaça gold, Silver, flame, mulatinha, caramel and the most famous Gabriela from which we make the Drink Jorge Amado. We still have the liqueurs of corn, jabuticaba, pineapple with coconut, cocoa, chocolate with pepper, pepper and passion fruit. In the same place we have sweet and pepper tasting We stopped at Alambique Paratiana or Pedra Branca.
3. Alambique Cachaca Pedra Branca
For tasting of cachaça and sweets, optional on the tour. We stopped at Pedra Branca or Paratiana
4. Fazenda Bananal
We walked past, old farm Murycana. Today Belongs to Globo, focused on pedagogical tourism and sustainability. It has organic ortas, organic cheese production and restaurant.
5. Cachoeira do Toboga
It is the most famous and fun waterfall in Paraty, it has a natural slide, a place of great fun. At the top there is the cascade of the toboggan, with a cave where we can cross the water and stay hidden behind the waterfall Photo stop and Natural Slide bath. Waterfalls

Stop for lunch at a restaurant in the middle of the forest next to the Tarzan waterfall. Restaurant indicated 5 times with the Golden fork. Picacha on the plate, stew, muqueca, fillet with shrimp sauce, spaghetti with seafood, among others. 1 hour stop
7. Estrada Real
The Tour takes place through stretches of the ancient path of the Gold of Paraty. The Old Royal Road or The Old Gold Path
8. Church of Our Lady of Penha
Optional on the Tour. Located in front of the distillery Ingenio do ouro
9. Parque Nacional da Serra da Bocaina
Serra da Bocaina National Park in Paraty, where the activity takes place around the park
10. Alambique Engenho D'Ouro
Optional, stop for tasting cachaça and sweets
11. Poco dos Ingleses
We passed the entrance to this waterfall

Fizemos o passeio de Jipe 4X4 nas cachoeiras, Alambique e Queijaria. Fomos guiados pelo Ninja, que é bem educado, dirige bem, deu várias dicas de segurança nas cachoeiras, nos ensinou sobre a vegetação e cultura local e ainda foi fotógrafo rsrs! O passeio valeu muito a pena: cachoeiras lindas, as degustações que faziam parte do pacote foram muito legais e gostosas. Recomendo!

Great tour! The guide (NINJA) was super friendly throughout the tour and even took us to an additional still, which for me was one of the coolest in Engenho D’Ouro! Tasting the cachaças there is another level!

The tour was incredible, we had so much fun!
The waterfalls are beautiful, the company guide helped us a lot, gave us lots of tips and even took photos. I really enjoyed the tour and I recommend it without fear

The places visited are spectacular, the guide was attentive, an observation the excursions in Paraty, there were many foreigners and few people who spoke English, my suggestion is that they have explanatory audios, in other languages to be placed in the car, explanatory signs at the stop restaurant I was with the French, Germans and Dutch and they were lost, not understanding what was going on, luckily there was someone who translated into English.

Definitely worth it! Beautiful views and great guide. Great way to see the waterfalls and try some cachaça. Suitable for kids as well although it was a bumpy ride.

The Tour was amazing. Guillermo, the tour guide, was very nice, always explaining everything in the way (even useful extras like where to eat the best Açaí in Paraty :) ). In the end we got to go to a second(!!) Cachça Distillery (alambique) that was not included in the tour but was solely because Guillermo decided to take us.

Downside is that the tour is only in Portuguese, but probably there will be someone in the tour who will be happy to provide some translations to english, as it was in our case.

Guillermo was happy to answer all our questions and you could easily tell he was doing this out of passion for the job and place.

Totally recommend!
