On this tour we will get to know the cradle of Mexican muralism, the most important artistic movement in all of Latin America, and how it has evolved over the years, taking over public spaces for great artists to paint our identity, we will explain the first murals by Diego Rivera, Siqueiros, Orozco, and their students visiting a typical market where the first foreign women painted. We will see the contradictions and criticisms of muralism.
We will explain the current urban art scene, the graffiti that today is an essential movement to get to know art in the CdMx. It started as vandalism, but over the years it has become the movement that has changed neighborhoods and saved lives. On this unique tour in Mexico City, you will learn about the history of these two movements and you will live the experience of making your own aerosol graffiti.

If you are interested in muralism and art, this tour is a must. The tour takes you off the beaten paths to some of the lesser known murals, by some incredible artists, and to some cool spots in the city that would be hard to discover without help. Our guide, Jorge, did a fantastic job explaining the symbolism in the paintings and how the political message developed over time. The guide took us on a ride with the public transport system (metro + bus) which was a great experience in itself. The tour ended at an old factory ("Ex Fabrica") that is now repurposed to a public space with bars and shops where every surface is covered with the most breathtaking graffiti art, and where we even got the chance to do some graffiti spraying ourselves. Great experience, overall!

Wear walking shoes as you cover a lot of ground but the knowledge you can leave with ; knowing all the mural history of MC is outstanding. If bad with Spanish names, snap pictures of their signature art so can compare elsewhere and later on other tours in MC

This tour made me feel like I was exploring the creative heart of Mexico City. Seeing the artists in the process and interacting with the local community was an enriching experience.
From the impressive murals in the Palace of Fine Arts to the secret corners of the city full of surprising graffiti.
And doing my own graffiti at the end was the best!
