I'm Glen Henley the owner operator or "Henley's Privarte Tours". I started as a tour guide in 2012 and created this private tour in 2016. My goal was to build the best private tour in the New Orleans area. I have met thousands of guests over the years and am very pleased to now have hundreds of 5-star reviews online. You will hear stories about the first explorers, our history (past &present), see the Mississippi river, cemeteries, architecture, famous landmarks, the wetlands, flood control systems, slavery in the plantations vs here in the colony, the neighborhoods, get some great food, hear about the nationalities, the diversity, the Creoles & Cajuns, Mardis Gras, the catholic church influence and more.
(1-3 is 4 hours, 4-6 is 5 hours. (Up to 5 stops are included)

My husband and I had a great day with Glen learning about the city and checking out the most popular sites! Glen has a genuine interest in his customers and making sure they have a fabulous experience. We stopped at a restaurant for lunch and had chargrilled oysters for the first time. Absolutely incredible! Highly recommend.

Glen is an awesome and very knowledgeable guy who really loves New Orleans and can give you the point of this city . Learned a ton ! And also had great local recs too . Glen is very flexible and reliable. Our flight was delayed and he was waiting for us in the airport. I forgot my jacket in the car and he brought it back to the hotel for me. He’s a real gentleman with nice south charm manners!
Greatly recommend this tour - you will have a pleasant and informative ride :)

Glen was very knowledgeable and great tour guide. Our only issue was that we spent an hour+ at a lunch spot but that time was added into our total tour time which doesn’t seem quite fair. We could have skipped the big lunch and not paid $100 to our guide for the time we spent at lunch.

Just finished with our tour and I can tell you hands down that Glen knows New Orleans and gives you your moneys worth . We had a great time and I highly recommend it for anyone that wants to see and understand New Orleans . WARNING - 4 hours goes by super fast so sit back and enjoy Glen with all his dad jokes

We absolutely adored Glen and thoroughly enjoyed his tour! We toured all over the city and stopped for lunch at this great place he recommended. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We've been on a couple other tours before but I'd say this was our favorite. If you're a fan of history and curious how New Orleans got to be the way it is, hit up Mr. Henley!

Glen was the perfect tour guide. Communications were perfect as he cleared up our questions before the tour and was open to adjusting to accommodate our group. Hotel pickup was made in a nice sized vehicle that was perfect for our needs. He has complete knowledge of the city's history and offered many interesting insights during the tour. The tour itself had stops at the sites we were most interested in visiting, including a beautifully scenic stop for lunch. All stops allowed us the right amount of time to explore and take photos. Since we only had the half day for sightseeing this tour was the perfect way to for us to experience New Orleans. We experienced far more of the city than we otherwise would have been able to. Highly recommend this tour!

We enjoyed our trip with Glen. My wife and I had been in town for two weeks, but our daughter just came into town. Glen arranged our trip to not show things we had already visited, but still give us a great view of New Orleans. We started with a magnificent view of the river from high.
Glen then showed us the different neighborhoods in the city pointing out the
architectural differences and the history behind them. He did this in a friendly and professional way. He picked us up from our Air B&B and dropped us off at the French Quarter as we requested.
I would recommend his tour highly.

We were very satisfied with our experience with Henley's Private Tours. Glen is full of information about New Orleans. He also customizes the tour according to your interests. Besides that, he is very entertaining and a great guy.

Glen knows EVERYTHING about New Orleans. He tells each story with obvious love and respect for what he does and where he is. He gave such awesome introduction into what New Orleans is and the people it cares for. The best way to start a trip. We told him every time we come back, he is our guide!
We have such appreciation for the immersive presentation of historic interventions of the various ethnic communities, here. It was amazing to learn of the rapport they established with each other..
Our tour, seemed brief in consideration of the volume of information we received, and the entertaining manner of his offering.
