There are two remarkable things to see on the top of Gellért Hill: the Citadel and the Liberation Monument. Don't miss visiting Gellért Hill if you would like to see incredible panoramas and hear interesting stories.
8. St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika)
The Basilica is the largest church in Budapest, houses Hungary’s most sacred treasure, St. Stephen’s mummified right hand, the Szent Jobb (Holy Right Hand). We recommend visiting the Basilica from inside as well, as it is one of the most beautiful churches of the country with many exciting details.
9. Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvar)
Vajdahunyad Castle is a romantic castle in Budapest, located in the beautiful City Park by the boating lake (skating rink in winter). If you wish, you can take a nice walk with your tour guide around the castle in this beautiful green area.
10. Szechenyi Baths and Pool
This theater-looking building is a swimming pool and thermal bath. Take a look at the famous Szechenyi Bath, located in the City Park.
11. Heroes' Square

Kate was a phenomenal guide and made sure that we had a lovely first day in Budapest. She was very knowledgeable and provided great insight on our stops at Buda Castle, Heroes' Square, Matthias Church, the city park, and parliament. I can't recommend Kate and this tour highly enough.

With the heat of the summer, this was a great way to see a lot with our multi-generational family trip. Informative and personalized. We enjoyed this air conditioned van and driver, and tour guide. This met our needs and allowed us to see a lot.

I would thoroughly recommend this tour. The guide Achos (apologies if I have misspelled!) was knowledgeable and in 4 hours gave us a thorough tour of beautiful Budapest giving lots of detail on it’s history. He also recommended some brilliant places to visit after the tour!!

A most enjoyable and informative private tour which catered to our family of 5 with 2 elderly and 1 teenager. Our guide Christina had a pre-tour discussion with us to decide on the places we would like to visit before setting off. Christina was very knowledgeable and shared with us a lot of information about Budapest’s past and present, spiced with her own sense of humour!

Andrea is excellent and did a great job in providing a succinct overview of the rich history and culture of Budapest as well as Hungary in general. The tour was efficient and tailored to our interest. Would recommend to anyone interested in a small group, personalized tour.
