The tour covers several breathtaking places along the way. We can Easily Say that this is the highlight of your trip to Georgia. (For solo travelers, it is a great option!). Remember, it is a long ride, but no worry, our guides always create the mood and the atmosphere of celebration with beautiful stories about Georgia. This ride is challenging even for our safe and experienced drivers in winter. We have some tips on what you should do in the winter. First of all, be prepared for freezing weather, take everything warm you have, and get good sleep the night before. Sometimes roads are blocked, and we cannot go beyond Gudauri, but in this case, we have more time to spend at Gudauri ski resort, where you can try many activities like paragliding ATV bikes, Horse riding, etc.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Rose Revolution Square
We meet you in front of Radisson Blu Iveria at 8:30 am. (Rose revolution square. 50m from Rustaveli metro station) You will see our tour leader holding a red flag. If you are a group of more than 4 person, We pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Caucasus mountains.
2. Jinvali Water Reservoir
Jinvali Reservoir is located Along the Georgian military highway. Wonderful place to take amazing pictures, blue-colored water between three cordilleras.
3. Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble
Ananuri fortress dates to the XVI-XVIII centuries and it is situated on the foreland by the river Aragvi. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty that ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles. This is a perfect place for landscape photography, there are amazingly beautiful views of the fortress and Jinvali reservoir together. The fortress remained in use until the beginning of the 19th century. In 2007, the complex has been on the tentative list for inclusion into the UNESCO World Heritage Site program.

You can go rafting before lunch, which is a great experience. Unique possibility to have lunch in beautiful nature. Try super delicious, homemade, traditional dishes, and most important Khinkali, because you are in the homeland of these dumplings.

In case of good weather, you have the possibility to try Paragliding in Gudauri. Paragliding experience isn't our service and that is extra cost approximately 100 USD.
6. Russian Georgian Friendship Monument
Activities or visit Friendship Monument Georgia-Russia (optional) The Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument is a monument built in 1983 to celebrate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the ongoing friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. Located on the Georgian Military Highway between the ski resort town of Gudauri and the Jvari pass, the monument is a large round stone and concrete structure overlooking the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus Mountains. Gudauri ski resort, is located on the south-facing plateau of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is situated in the Stepantsminda District, at an elevation of 2,200 meters, above sea level with a skiing area enjoying maximum exposure to the sun. Gudauri is located in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains. The resort takes on a whole new life as a fabulous sightseeing destination with fresh air, superior areas for horse-riding, mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, etc.

Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) is known for its scenic location in the Greater Caucasus Mountains, and is a center for trekkers and mountain climbing. Local attractions include Mount Kazbegi itself and the alpine meadows and forests of the surrounding Kazbegi Nature Reserve and Gergeti Trinity Church Outside of town. Therefore in Kazbegi village, we rent a special car (5-7$ per person) to take us to the top of the mountain to visit Gergeti Trinity Church.
8. Gergeti Trinity Church
Gergeti Trinity Church is a popular name for Holy Trinity Church near the village of Gergeti. The church is situated on the right bank of the river Chkheri and under Mount Kazbegi at an elevation of 2170 meters. The Gergeti Trinity Church was built in the 14th century and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. In times of danger, precious relics from Mtskheta, including Saint Nino's Cross were brought here for safekeeping. During the Soviet era, all religious services were prohibited, but the church remained a popular tourist destination. The church is now an active establishment of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. From the church, you will get an epic panoramic view of the whole valley. The church due to its isolation in the steep mountainous area full of nature, the church remains the most iconic tourist attraction in Georgia. We will be impressed with the view of Mount Kazbegi, which is 5047 m high.

After finishing the experience we recommend staying in Kazbegi. We can leave you at Rooms hotel Kazbegi. We arrive at Rooms hotel around 7:00 PM. Also you can return to Tbilisi on the same day.
10. Rose Revolution Square

It was a great experience our Guide Nicolas was great and knowlageable the sight is beautifull the Van was comfortable. Surely will recommend for anyone travelling as a couple or solo to visit and try the tour with Budget Friendly Tours. I have taken 2 tours with them and both were the Best.

This was my first time in Georgia and it WAS Amazing. My Tour professional Diminti was Awesome He was very knowledgeable and I learned so much about the history. He was also very considerate of breaks, eating times and was on point to making each of us feel special in a very unique way no matter our nationally. I highly recommend this Tour and definitely will do it again. Thank you Diminti for being Great!! Oh yeah the Driver...Wow I don't remember his name but he too was an excellent and safe driver as sometimes looking over the mountains several times I said these words, "It take a strong person who does not drink Georgia fine wine to drive in the mountains because it could not be me." I don't even drink but man this ride was amazing as I came in afraid of high places and left as an OVERCOMER!!!!! Yes, I am an OVERCOMER!¡ THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PROFESSIONALISM...DIAMOND D..USA

Very Interesting tour and the most amazing views! We enjoyed the contrast of weather in Tbilisi compared with the weather in Kazbegi and Gudauri - the cold weather combined with the great landscape views is the best!. Very intense road travel but our driver Zaza was a very skilled. Our tour guide Chinka was the friendliest tour guide ever and very energetic. The Russian Georgian Friendship Monument is very interesting and the Frescos of the old Georgian Churches. Great to know the stories of the Churches as well. This tour was worth the long travel hours.
