Traveling with an 18 year-old and a 12 year-old. This was their favorite part of our adventure to Scotland by far! Ross and Alex were excellent guides. The communication from the moment we booked the was very proactive. Ross was very timely when responding to my questions.
We felt safe the entire time. It felt like a good time with old friends. Highly recommend!

What an amazing adventure. Canyoning Dollar Canyon was a highlight. I was worried as an experienced rock climber that this trip would be too tame but Ross customized this trip and it was the perfect mix of jumps, slides and abseils! In addition, Ross was a wonderful guide, full of tips and insider information about Scotland. I would rate this above 5 stars if possible!

What an awesome experience!! This was thrilling and fun at the same time!!! I highly recommend this activity!! Ross and Mikey were great on giving instructions on each part of the canyoning!!

If I could give this 10 stars, I would. The staff was fantastic! All 14 of us had an experience of a lifetime. (I also went Coasteering with Intrepidus 2 years ago!)

Ross and Peter were great when taking 11 guys Canyoning through the Dollar Falls. The equipment was top notch and we felt well looked after throughout the whole experience. Would go again!

Amazing day out canyoning Mikey was very good at keeping things fun but safe. Had everyone abseiling by the end even those afraid of heights highly recommended!

Wow!! What a day!
To start, Intrepidus Outdoors provided excellent communication from our very first email months before the excursion, up until the day of. Their colorful mini bus promptly picked us up directly from our hotel in Edinburgh and drove our family an hour away to Dollar Canyon.
Let me preface this by saying we are a fit family + we have canyoneered in Moab, UT and Maui, Hawaii prior to this excursion, so our family is familiar with harnesses, rappelling, and didn’t have the anxiety that a first-timer might have had in an adventure like this… plus this was the BEST experience we have ever had! Wow!!
Our guide, Ross, was friendly and warm and earned our trust quickly on the drive to the canyon. After arriving, we were fitted with neoprene suits, booties and helmets and began a very steep hike up to the top of the falls.
The suits kept us quite warm while we cliff jumped, zip-lined, rappelled, slid down rock waterslides, scrambled, and hiked through the canyon for several hours.
The excursion requires stamina, physical fitness, and a positive, confident, trusting mindset. What a great way to bond with our teenage boys! This was an experience of a lifetime and we would love to do it again!

Fantastic trip from start to finish! Thanks to all the guys for making us all feel safe and confident throughout. Communication from Emma and Ross was great, really quick responses and answered all our questions. The hardest part was definitely the walk up the hill in the wetsuits - everything after that was a breeze! The door to door pickup was great too, it made organising very straightforward. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

My brother and I went canyoning while visiting Edinburgh for the weekend and we loved it. It’s got everything - jumps, abseils, slides and stunning views on the way down. Thanks to our guide Ross and Intrepidus for a great day!

Had an amazing day today on the Dollar canyoning trip with Ross and his teammate! Even my brother (who usually doesn't go for outdoor activities) loved the experience and we couldn't stop smiling the whole way. There were great chances to abseil and to jump into plunge pools, and the instructors were happy to take photos and help us along, can't wait to go again!
