My husband and I booked a lesson with Oliver, the owner and tennis pro. The facility is in a beautiful setting, well maintained and inviting with 2 courts, a lovey pro shop and comfortable cafe and bar area. The lesson with Oliver was amazing. He is a stickler about technique and immediately fixed small problems with our stances and racquet preparation. I wanted tolearn a one-handed backhand, and in less than an hour I accomplished learning the stroke. He is an incredible teaching pro.

During our week long stay in Cul de Sac our group of 4 booked daily lessons with Oliver who is a wonderful pro. We are beginners and love to play tennis on vacation. Our prior experiences playing daily on other island vacations were fun, but we did not learn much. Oliver focused on fundamentals, which we needed. Our lessons served as the perfect morning workout. We left daily feeling challenged and wanting to come back for more. Thank you Oliver for sharing your love of tennis and facility with us! We would highly recommend beginners or experts visit Oliver at American Tennis Academy when in St Martin.

Oliver delivers not just master class in tennis but a master class in tennis pedagogy. After an hour on the court, I was not just a better tennis player but a wiser person. I had so much fun, I wanted to come back for a second class. Oliver was kind enough to oblige. The second meeting was even more satisfying than the first. In the second lesson we could consolidate the learnings from day one and push forward. My last hit, a backhand cross court, was a triumph. If the fates smile, I’ll be back next year.

Oliver is a tremendous Tennis Coach.
His attention to detail and love for teaching are apparent in each lesson.
I recommend taking multiple lessons for optimal improvement. Make sure to ask him about his serving technique !

We found the American Tennis Academy by online search prior to our first trip to St. Maarten, and have been returning to play here each time we visit St. Maarten. It is much more than just courts to rent (which are great BTW). It is a place to find opponents to play, take lessons from a pro (Oliver, the owner and pro), meet interesting people from all over the world and from St. Maarten, watch TV tennis events with others, have a drink, or even a nice breakfast. Oliver could not be a nicer person or a more avid lover of the game of tennis. He will teach you, arrange good opponents for you, make you laugh, and most of all, make you feel very welcome. St. Maarten is lucky to have this place.

A beautiful experience. My 1st time playing on a rubber surface. The court played similar to clay on the bounce, but you could also hit thru the court like a hard court. Beautiful location, great people. Orient bay 5 mins away. I recommend it for tennis lovers on cruise ships for a unique island experience. $30usd taxi (one way), and after, jump into the Atlantic at orient to cool off! Great place, great people.

Oliver has created a beautiful tennis academy in St. Martin. If you are looking for lessons to add some “salt & pepper” to your game then he’s the right professional. He’s a tactician that will not sugarcoat your deficiencies. He’s a gentleman and a lot of fun to spend an hour on your game. I highly recommend planning lessons with him. His pro shop has great shirts too! Enjoy!

I can't recommend Oliver high enough. I fixed a lot of my backhand issues. I gave me lots of tools to keep on correcting. He definitely is not a human ball machine like many instructors. Thanks so much. I'll be back next year!

Courts are in great shape and Oliver really knows the game and how to teach it. He has certainly helped improve my tennis and I enjoyed his lessons. I would highly recommend this facility for tennis players of all skill levels.
