Join me on this tour and get to know my city, from its rich history to its very busy and touristic present. The crowds are hard to avoid but it will be worth it as you will also get to visit a private palace that opens its door only to us.
We will walk past major attractions of Dubrovnik and you will find out everything you need to know about Dubrovnik’s history: foundation, time of independence, and war in the 90s.
Maybe even more interesting, you will encounter some locals and find out how the local community lives, our traditions, daily routines, and modern-day struggles. There is no better place to talk about it, than in the 16th-century palace which is home to a local family. And, just like locals believe, solving problems is easier with a good shot of rakija accompanied by homemade sweets and coffee.

Please note that this tour aims to contribute to preserving and restoring the furniture and the palace itself. By attending this experience, you are supporting the local community.

Pavo was amazing and gave us a great opportunity to see the highlights of Dubrovnik. He is a local guide with vast knowledge of the history and highlights of the city. Very personable and easy to get along with. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Pavo.

We absolutely loved this tour! This should be top of your list when you hit Dubrovnik. We traveled as a family of 6 with kids 12-21 and everyone loved it. Very interesting, paced well, great mix of history, local recommendations and current life in Dubrovnik. The palace visit was a hit as well (still thinking about the coffee!)! This was our first stop when we hit the city and I am so thankful!

We signed up for a walking tour entitled hidden gems of Dubrovnik - we originally picked Pavo who messaged us to explain he was attending a wedding and recommended Tea. It was a private tour and whilst a little more cash wise it was definitely worth it. Tea being a proud local shared recent history and the current challenges facing this wonderful city. There were cruise ships close by and the centre felt crowded however Tea quickly avoided the crowds sharing very interesting anecdotes from places hidden around. So we got our steps in learnt a lot from a local perspective and had a lovely host. We would highly recommend this tour

We appreciated learning about the ancient and recent history of Dubrovnik from a local guide. Pavo was extremely helpful giving us suggestions for the best way to make our way around the old city and enjoy our visit to the fullest! We especially enjoyed the opportunity to visit a private residence for the tasting. The private tour is worth it!!! Hvala!

Pavo was our tour guide for my daughter and I. He was incredibly intelligent and knew so much history about the city along with information about how locals live their day to day lives. He was personable and friendly. Best part was his recommendations catered to our interest and the rest of our trip planned in Croatia. He wrote down all of his recommendations for us at the end. Highly recommend him!

We were recommended to Pavo by a friend, so booked direct through an internet search. Must say it was a good recommendation as Pavo was an excellent guide, having grown up in Dubrovnik he knew all the main sites but also the backstreets, history and “what goes on” that you would not get with a normal tour. We also had access to a private “palace” for refreshments which is only arranged on his tours. A very pleasant and educated young man who will go far in life.

Pavo gave an exceptional tour that covered so much more than we expected, and he set the stage for an amazing visit. We took his recommendations and enjoyed our time there including a dinner at Marco Polo. We would call Pano every time we return to Dubrovnik. You should too!
