Our Etna excursion starts in SUV or minivan (up to 8 people) with a first stop in an off-road vehicle up to the lava front of the 2002 eruption.
Subsequently, crossing the Ragabo pine forest, we will arrive at the starting point of the trek to the Monti Sartorius craters where we will continue on foot starting from 1650m and reaching an altitude of 1750m, a walk suitable for everyone.
We will then explore a lava flow cave, the Grotta dei Ladroni, equipped with helmets and torches.

Contacted the company at the end of the day to enquirer about a helicopter tour over Etna. They were quick to respond throughout the evening and we made arrangements for the next morning contingent on the weather. I checked with them in the morning and there were only minor clouds so we decided to give it a shot. Within an hour we were soaring up the mountain above lava flows from previous eruptions. The view was amazing with the only obstruction coming from the clouds steaming from the active volcano. The tour lasted about 20 minutes and we were back on the ground. After the flight, our guide Salvatore offered to take us to see part of a large lava flow that was only reachable by Jeep over a rough tail through the woods. Overall it was a great experience for a private helicopter tour at a price competitive with group tour prices from other companies. If flying over a volcano fits in your plans we would highly recommend going with Dream Island.

Great day with a great bunch of people.
Don Salvatore was very knowledgeable and also great fun which made the tour very enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of exploring the volcano.

We had an amazing day with Salvatore!! He is really kind and take care of us all the time. He has a good energy and he is so gently. We went tracking to Etna and I highly recommend Salvatore!!

We were very happy with the tour of Syracusa and Noto organized by Dream Island this week. It was a full day tour and included Salvatore as our personal tour guide - he was a real gentleman, punctual and informative. Salvatore accompanied us to all of the major sites in both cities, and as well took us to a "real Sicilian restaurant" in Noto. Of course, we were happy to invite him to lunch with us!
Salvatore was very accommodating, to the extent that after he dropped us off at the bed and breakfast in Catania, we realized that one of our bags was left in his car, called Dream Island, spoke with Lisa (thank you Lisa) and Salvatore promptly returned with the bag (in all of that Catania traffic - poor Salvatore!).
As I said, Salvatore was a true gentleman, to the extent that he was a bit concerned about the area the Bed and Breakfast was in, so gave us his card with his cell number on it and said to call him day or night if there was any issue. We very much appreciated his kindness! What a true gentleman!
All in all, it was a very positive experience, meaning we would definitely use Dream Island and Salvatore again in our return to Sicily.
