This cooking class was so fun and very informative. The teacher is wonderful and it was lovely to learn home-style dishes and about some culture with one to one ratio. The class is designed around individual preferences and you can choose from several dishes to make before the class starts. Highly recommend!

Fuji is an excellent and patient teacher. Yushimi was translating Japanese to English so that was very helpful. Both took me to pick flowers and plants from a little local shop to make my creation. There was not a big selection at the flower shop but I loved the challenge of making something work. I really enjoyed the whole process and I'm looking forward to practicing more once I get back home to NYC. It's such a beautiful art and I loved how Fuji explained all the rules to me so that I can make sense of the process. I plan to take another class at Yanesen when I get back to Tokyo in the future. This is highly recommended

I booked the experience for a birthday treat and was not disappointed! Fuji gave us a wonderful lesson on her family’s personal style of ikebana, which was informative and very fun! Junko also did a great job translating, so we were able to easily understand all of the lesson. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone with an interest in Japanese flower arranging who would like a great beginning course to start them on their journey.
