The experience and staff were great! Our room was spacious with a great balcony to watch the bay. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. Jam, Henry, and Blue were very attentive to our needs and always greeted us with a smile. 10/10 would return

We had a very nice stay in Ha Long bay. The check in process was great (passport given, wristband returned, bags taken to the boat for you) with a golf buggy ride from the waiting area to the boat.
The staff were very pleasant, Santhosh looked after us mostly during our meals and he was very attentive. We found the food nice, if a little bland (we must have eaten pumpkin soup about 8 days in a row in Vietnam due to their insistence on providing set menus...) and the rooms whilst pleasant, were a tad cramped (we had no bedside table on one side of the bed).
Despite their being only 8 people on board, everything was executed in a military fashion, with tenders leaving on the dot for the times stated. Whilst understandable, this did lead to the whole affair feeling very rushed. We were told we would have 1 hour to climb up to a viewing point or go for a swim, or 30 minutes to do both. We wanted to do both and the crew member who took us ashore looked after our towels whilst hiking, we returned on the dot 30mins after arriving, to be told we had 20 minutes to go to the beach. It seems the 60 minutes was from when the boat departed from the ship, not from when the boat arrived at the island. Small niggle, but communication wasn't stellar.
The problem with a 1 night stay on board is that you are doing all the tours at the same time as a dozen other boats, if they staggered these times even by 30 minutes, then you wouldn't have a mad stampede and huge queues.
For one of the cave visits we did, just waiting 10 minutes until all the tours passed meant you almost had the place to yourselves.
The boat had a nice shower, but the seal had gone so water went everywhere in the rest of the bathroom. The balcony was a nice surprise and we enjoyed sitting out there.
Drinks were expensive by Hanoi standards but similar to city prices in the UK. Happy hour would have been good if staff had actually been around to serve you. We managed 2 drinks and went for a 3rd but nobody was around.We turned up 2 minutes early and they wouldn't serve us.
We were told there was a pearl farm as part of our tour, yet his wasn't offered to us (we did all optional excursions put on by the crew minus tai chi and squid fishing)
The boat, staff and itinerary were all good and I wouldn't say 'don't use them' but for the staff, the above things could easily improve guest experience. I also said much of this in the feedback card, which to my surprise, prompted the manager to appear at our door 5 minutes later almost demanding to know why I didn't rate them 5 for everything! Very strange.
I know companies want 5 stars for everything but transparency is what makes sites like trip advisor worthwhile and those expecting 5* Experiences, will not find it here, but if happy for a very good 4* experience, then they will be happy using this company.
If you can make time in your schedule, I would highly recommend 2 nights on board and maybe a company that runs a more flexible timing schedule to avoid you arriving with the rest of the masses!

We took Paradise elegance cruise 2 days 1 night halong bay which is indeed par excellence cruise. Right from check-in until the completion of the cruise it was 5-star all the way. The welcome from the cruise manager Ms. Belle and the welcome dance was very nice. One of the important aspects of the cruise the hospitality experience. Each and every aspect of the tour was explained by the cruise manager and then individually by our butler Mr. Mariano. He went all the way to provide exceptional service especially the dinner which was presented very nicely. The activities & tours were conducted in a very professional manner.
Overall it was an excellent cruise where each and every member of the team contributed to provide ultimate customer experience. Thank you Ms. Belle and your team for providing us a very memorable cruise experience.

It was one of the best trips of lifetime traveling with families. Restaurant staff was well prepared to welcome guests, and Ms Hoa attended our table. She did an outstanding service to cater to our needs and answered our questions.
