It was our last day in HCMC on a super hot and humid day- we had already been to a few places so many day tours didn’t really fit for us. We were too tired to walk far and didn’t have time to research what to do it where to go. We decided last minute on this ‘Hidden Gems’ type of tour - like booking it at 9.30am for. 10.30am pick up! I was a little nervous since our hotel was not listed on the drop down menu but I need not have worried- I was easily able to communicate through the Viator app and since it was a private tour, we negotiated a 11.30am pick up. ‘Heidi ‘ (Hung) and ‘Peter’ (Phok) were fabulous! We felt safe and secure with them as we effortlessly wound our way through traffic and down lanes to the less touristy parts of HCMC. We were able to customize our tour. They gave such interesting information especially about the oldest Apartment area. Best of all was such sitting down to coffee with them and we felt they were genuinely interested to exchange stories about who we were and our customs as well as sharing their stories. We did everything on the list and more. We could never have done this on our own so thank you so much!

Our group of 6 booked this tour on the day, based on Saigon Tours website description. The company were prompt in getting back to us and due to the late nature of the booking, we assumed that our details, for insurance purposes, would be taken at the start of the tour. They did not require any information at all, so we hoped we were insured during the tour. Our guides were extremely friendly and informative though and the bike ride was fun. The disappointing aspect of it was that the website stated that 3 street foods were included in the price. This was not the case. We did walk through a local food market, but were required to purchase food ourselves which was not expected.

The students on this tour group were lovely and very knowledgeable introducing us to places that we would otherwise have missed.

Loved visiting the site of the first living Buddhist monk and where he set fire to himself, the Vietnamese old town, oldest coffee shop and flower market.

Could not recommend this tour more, the students speak really good English so no concerns over language barrier, it was my toddlers first experience on a scooter and she loved it!

You haven’t visited Vietnam until you’ve been on a motorbike or scooter! Traffic is wild but Justin, my driver, made me feel super safe and comfortable. And it was more fun than I imagined. Such a fun and exhilarating way to see the city! We got caught in the rain but he had a raincoat for me. So off we went like everyone else in Saigon! Justin adapted to my interests and we stopped to have a delicious coffee at what I can only say is a unique coffeehouse.
If you are thinking of doing this tour, DO IT!

Great tour! Visited the monument created in memory of Thich Quang Duc, the monk who burned himself in protest against the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government. Visited a Padoga in China town and went to the very top floor where statues of Buddha and numerous smaller statues were. It was breathtaking. Visited the flower market where my awesome guide, Tom, bought me a lotus flower. And was educated along the way on the current situation in Vietnam.

If you have a couple of hours, I would totally recommend!
