Immerse yourself in the daily life of the city; live, walk, smell and taste the culture of Medellin while sharing your time with a local, discovering the fascinating urban and social transformation of what was once the most dangerous city in the world.
Initially in our tour we will experience Downtown Medellin; we will recognize it's history, it's culture and it's art, we will discover what day to day is like at Downtown Medellin, where approximately 1'200.000 people move daily.
We will start our trip using the public transportation, first we will take the train to the Comuna 13, then we will transfer to the cable car that will take us to some of the communities in the hills.
At the Comuna 13, we will go to the famous Outdoor Escalators, a unique project in the world framed by the greatest amount of graffiti in Medellin, previously one of the most dangerous areas in the city, we will understand the incredible history and the transformation process that it's inhabitants experienced.

Great tour! Sebastian is very knowledgable and speaks great English. The tour is a perfect mix of interesting history and fun things to do - including a cable car ride, street food snacks and a walk through the graffiti of Comuna 13. Recommended!!

A wonderful, very informative and interesting tour! The inclusion of public transport in the tour was a unique touch. Very well thought tour and the guide was very knowledgeable with very good, easy to understand English. If you’d like to learn history and modern life of Medellin then this tour is for you.

This was a great tour to experience both the metro culture of Medellin and the Comuna 13. Sebastian handled all transportation so that our group could experience without any issues. Sebastian gave us the history and current updates about the metro system, cable car, and the transformation of Comuna 13. It is truly a unique experience and I'm very happy we had a local guide with us. The tour did not feel too long and was organized for a perfect afternoon tour - we even got to see a little of the sun setting before it was all over. I would love to come back with friends or family and do this tour again!

Sebastián was an amazing tour guide, and the tour was fantastic! First he showed us around the Medellin city center, stopping occasionally to provide historical context and personal stories. Then he took us to a cool historic bar to grab a coffee/beer and to chat with him and the other guests. Next he guided us through the Medellin public transportation, taking us on the train and cable cars up to the top of the hill overlooking Comuna 13, all while explaining the importance of the transit system to the community. Then he takes you into Comuna 13, which was like nothing I had ever seen before. It's a vibrant community on a steep hill full of prideful people enjoying life, lively restaurants and bars, and colorful murals and street art. Finally, Sebastián helped everyone figure out the safest way home. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends

Julian was an amazing guide! We had a wonderful day together learning all about the history and current day affairs in the community. A perfect introduction to Medellin. The tour shows you different parts of the city, while the guide explains how, and why it works the way it does. Sebastian was really friendly, well organized, and spoke perfect English. I can 100% recommend booking this tour.

Julian was an EXCELLENT guide!!! He was patient, friendly and a perfect guide. I learned so much about Medellín, past, present and future that I feel like I’m an expert now. Julians knowledge about Medellín is unbelievable and so is his passion. It would be a mistake if you missed this tour!!! Highly recommend.
