Fantastic guide and incredible experience on the Pedra da Gávea trail. Michel was super friendly and an excellent guide who helped us complete the trail safely. View from the top of the mountain is simply incredible! Total journey took 6-7h.

Jessie was a great guide and took great pictures (trust me, you need to know the angles to get great pictures in this trip). Also, she helped us but did not pamper us. The atmosphere is great, people from the mountain having fun. The communication was also alright, they contacted us a day before the trip. Just be aware that is it a medium to hard hike to do and you really need good shoes and stamina. It s great hike for people who have been in hikes before and know a bit o conduct. I took Uber to the start point (apr. 40min ride from Copacabana) and was there punctually, exactly at the supposed start point. But there were noone from the organisers. I waited there 1 hour, during that time 3 groups started the hike, but they tald I‘m not at their list (of course noone spoke english). No answer to the telephone or email. It was hard to get back to the city again. So they ruined my day completely. Waiting for the refund now. Still no answer to my mails..

I booked this hiking tour 1 month in advance and Viator confirmed my ticket. I called the tour company Nmountain and the never answered my calls, my text or viaturs message app. They never picked me up at the hotel. They basically wrecked my plans for the day. I called another tour company rio adventures and they had never heard of n mountain. I am waiting for my refund now. Do not book this tour it’s fake.

Miguel was a fantastic guide! We had rainy and foggy weather for our hike and got some views when the fog cleared briefly during our climb before reaching the summit of Pedra da Gávea in a sea of clouds. Even without all the views we had a great experience and definitely recommend for those looking for an active adventure! The wet conditions made some of areas a bit more challenging but highly recommend the hike and Miguel!

I actually did the "Morro do Pontal" with Michel and I will be doing "Pedra da Gavea" with him today. I've never written a review on Tripadvisor, but I just had to because Micheal made it such a great experience. Like me, he definitely has a true passion for nature and it shows in the way he explains things. He's very knowledgeable, professional, safe and the list goes on! :D He took some amazing pictures of me and we ended the day with a refreshing swim at the beach. It does not get any better! Muito Obrigado Amigo!!!

Michel is an incredible professional thoughtful tour guide I ever met!
I paid him on February however, because of Avianca's bankruptcy I just went to Rio in November and he was super flexible about this. We did Pedra day Gavea trekking. Was a cloudy day, I haven't expected it. When we got to the Janela do ceu was windy and even colder... Out of the blue he took a t-shirt of his backpack and borrowed it to me, was super nice.
I highly recommend him. He is punctual, an expert of Rio’s tourist spots and last, but not least, he is a reliable person. Thank you so much, Michel, for the good time that I had in Rio.
