The customer service for this day trip was great! I got pickup and drop off service directly from my hotel. My pickup driver walked me over to my tour bus and introduced me to my tour guide William. William did a wonderful job translating everything into 4 languages (English, French, Spanish and Chinese) which I found impressive. William and our bus driver Joe did a good job finding us an alternative activity when our river cruise got cancelled due to bad weather. William even learned our names and did a good job making sure we were all accounted for after every stop. I had fun walking around our alternate spot, Byward Market, and was able to buy several souvenirs. I enjoyed going to both the war and history museums too.

Not a VIP tour. Old shuttle bus with rattling windows and no suspensions whatsoever. The guide did not provide any historical, geographical or cultural info. No guided tour of the city.

We were not very happy with the overall trip. We felt the trip was rushed. We wanted to spend at least a little longer than 20 minutes to appreciate the beauty of Parliament. The time in War museum should have been less. My advise is if one don’t have patience, then this trip is not for you.

Our VIP day in Ottawa was amazing. Out tour guide Felix was the master of managing 3 languages and herding our very diverse group around the city. We were there to see the
Royal marching band arrive at the Parliament. Enjoyed the views from the boat with interesting commentary. Next we visited the excellent history museum. We had extra time to get in a drink at the Chateau and stopped by to visit the Governor house gardens. It was a long day filled with facts, photos and new memories. Felix was just the right mix of tour guide and just kind person. Thank you for the great day.

The pick up driver was 45 min late. The day before we were informed by the tour operator to be 30 min earlier than the original pick up time. So we had to skip breakfast in the hotel in order to be on time. The driver was not answering his phone and we were not sure whether the trip would take place or not. It was stressful and not a good way to start the day.

This is honestly the worst tour I've taken in the last 20 years.
The city of Ottawa itself is beautiful and amazing. However, this tour was over-priced and poorly delivered. I do my utmost to not judge those who speak several languages, however the guide was not proficient in either of the official languages in Canada. If you speak Mandarin, then you'd likely be OK. If you speak English or French you'll learn more from Google.
The tour is priced at $149 and the cruise is worth $47. Meaning they charge you $100+ for the bus ride there and back. I'd strongly recommend anyone not traveling solo to hire a car and do this trip yourself.
The guide incorrectly portrayed that the museums must be paid in cash prior to arrival. If you just ignore the lies, all the museums will accept card/cash upon arrival. The museums will also do applicable discounts for seniors etc.
Most importantly. The bus itself was in a filthy condition with most passengers unable to see out of the windows. They refused to use the air conditioning in a potential attempt to save money on gas. The driver almost fell asleep and a passenger had to wake them up. They will stop at the gas station on the way back to Montreal to fill up on gas which is an interesting touch at the end of the tour.
I've never seen anything so poor in my entire life.
If you're a solo traveler and time poor. Ottawa is a great place to see.
But I strongly suggest to anyone to do their best to avoid Viator/Concord Tours & Travel

Paid $382 for a couple on this tour for 2 hrs either way to Quebec. Dodgy vehicle with no air conditioning, said no oil for it to work but filled up with fuel, no oil. Said 1 1/2 hr cruise, only 1 hr as crossed river to get other passengers when already been that side. Fellow passenger had to wake driver up. Four other passengers totally irate that I know off, others complained about no ac. Guide lacking in communication with English. Couldn't see out the window entire trip, double glazed emergency but condensation been there a very long time and rock hard

Easy way to visit Ottawa from Montreal, but only boat/bus ride covered. Additional costs of 2 museums and any food. 2 of us, amounted to nearly $300! Cheaper way would have been rent a car for the day and avoid the coughers on the bus.

The the bus driver was great. The museums were beautifully presented The sights were breathtaking. The cruise was both entertaining and informative. The tour guide was multilingual but not good at it. I found her hard to understand in any of the 3 languages she presented.
