This experience was very well planned out. From the moment we were picked up in Cairo from our hotel, we had amazing service. The details for our flight from Cairo to Luxor were sent out 3 days in advance, giving us plenty of time to see Cairo prior to starting our cruise.
Our Tour Guide in Luxor was Mahmoud Amin. 1st day he gave us an amazing experience exploring the East Bank of Luxor visiting Karnak and Luxor Temples. The second day, Mahmoud took us to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings and Hatchepsut Temple. Mahmoud, per our request, even helped make a pit stop to experience and try local Egyptian Cuisine in Luxor.
In Edfu, Tamer Al Nageeb was our guide to see the Horus Temple. He met us in the lobby of our hotel and transported us via Horse Carriage through Edfu towards the temple. He was also very comical and made sure we understood the Ancient Egyptian History in Edfu.
Later the evening, we sailed to Kom Ombo, where we met our Tour Guide, Waeel Alsaeed. This experience was unique since the temple was right at the front of the docks, where we got to experience the sunset. Waeel not only gave us the guide of the Kom Ombo Temple, but helped us understand the amazing history of Kom Ombo village itself.
The following morning, super early, we met our guide Mohamed Gobran, where we transported via a mini tour bus to the Abu Simbel Temples. Mohamed did a great job accommodating the larger group, which was different from our experience for other temples, which was more private. Nonetheless, being with a group further enhanced our experience.
The boat we were on was the MS Hapi 5.. Aside from the tour guides, the boat staff did an exceptional job making our journey through the Nile an enjoyable one. The tea hours at the top deck, cocktail night, the bbq lunches, and accommodating my vegetarian wife to make her special meals, they took care of us.
I give everyone involved in this journey an A+ for effort and execution. It’s not the sites that made our journey special, because we could have done that solo or any other self-carved way.. it was the people that were there that made the entire experience amazing.
I’m in an awe of the Egyptian culture. This country is safe and very accepting of all other cultures. Despite the mess that is happening in Gaza/Israel, going to Egypt felt safer than some horror stories we hear about USA/America.
Definitely recommend this trip and this tour team to anyone who is looking for a journey through Ancient Egypt from a modern Egyptian’s company.

Good tour. Things went smoothly. Food was good. People were nice. Tour sights are very busy, even in off season. Guide did his best to explain tour sights in English. Pricey but decent value. Only thing I disliked is constant asking for tips and extra money for entrance fees, etc.

It was a great escape, the boat was good, staff were friendly, but above all our tour guide Mohamed Gobran was amazing he made history came live and he explained all details and gives time to ask anything, he was very professional and made the trip even more enjoyable, thank you Mohamed.

Egypt Tours Portal made our first trip to Egypt fantastic!!! Our tour guide Ahmed Rezk was the best. Not only did he make the most prompt daily showings, we were also able to gain valuable information that he imparted concerning the different areas that we visited daily. The nile cruise staff exceed my expectation. They were all helpful and the service is excelent. The food was amazing and delicious. Also tourist guides have excelent knowledge of egypt history. Particularly deep and excelent explanations of the history of egypt of tourist guides Mohamed Gobran, Talaat Abdo, etc.

The Good: All the services were provided. We visited all the sites as per the itinerary and the guides were nice and knowledgeable. We were not rushed during the visits; they were mostly on time; and WhatsApp communication was good most of the time.
The not so Good: All the details and pick-up info is provided last minute always, everyday. If you cannot handle that, this package is not for you. They will book the flights for you the night before! We reserved this package 5 mounts ahead of time and we got the pick-up info the night before! As a result, the flight to Luxor was overbooked and we were set aside to wait for a cancellation. Luckily, we were delayed only an hour to the next flight; and got a compensation of 40USD each from Air Egypt. The ship was nothing like the photo you see – it’s very basic, and food was OK. You are given only an hour for each meal – very rushed. But the staff was kind and helpful, for the most part, the service was great. Last tour in Aswan was not private; and all of our tours supposed to be private. When we said this to the guide that day, he said “well it’s the last one and it’s over”!!!??? LOL. There were 3 other couples on the same tour.
During the sightseeing, they did take us to couple of shops, not included in the itinerary, which is very obviously, an attempt to make commissions of the potential sales. Just say no, unless you are interested.
Advise: If it’s your first time in Egypt: 1st lower your expectations 50% and 2nd be aware that everyone is trying to make as much money off you as possible, at all times. Egyptians are very charming and appear to have your best interest at heart, but do not be fooled! Once you are aware of the above, you can enjoy your experiences and have a fantastic vacation.

Overall a good experience, the sites along the Nile are spectacular. Each site comes with a tour guide to pick us up from the cruise and tell stories. The package is of good value incl flight tickets from/to Cairo and transport. Agency was flexible enough to refund me for the back to Cairo tickets because we wanted to stay extra night in Aswan.

Everything was very well organized: the places visited, the cruise and the guides. Visiting Egypt in summer is very hot, but the landscapes are worth it.
