1. Kusadasi
At the exit of the cruise port, you will be welcomed by your professional licensed local tour guide who will be with you during your private tour and tell you every point of the ruins you will visit. We advise you to meet our team 30/45 minutes after your ship docked to the port.
2. Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)
House of the Virgin Mary where mother of Jesus Christ spent her final years. Pope Paul VI visited the shrine in 1967, and 'unofficially' confirmed its authenticity. Pope John Paul II also visited the shrine in 1979. Pope Benedict XVI visited this shrine in 2006. While their visiting, they gave some gifts for this shrine that you can see during your visit.
3. Ancient City of Ephesus
UNESCO listed place Ancient City of Ephesus that is one of the best well-kept Greco- Roman ancient city in the world, famous with Odeon where the music concerts were organized, Domitian Temple that is one of the first temple dedicated for a human, Celcus Library which was the third biggest library in the ancient time, Amphitheatre where is one of the biggest amphitheatre in the world with 24.000 people capacity and St. Paul preached to Ephesians, Marble Street, Roman Baths, Fountains, Temples, Agora, Love House, Public Toilets, Terrace Houses (Optional) famed with gorgeous mosaics and wall paintings....
4. Ephesus Terrace Houses
The Terrace Houses complex in Ephesus consists of luxurious residential villas, located on the northern slope of Bülbüldağı Hill, next to Curetes Street and opposite the Temple of Hadrian. So far, two housing complexes - Eastern and Western - have been excavated. They were built according to the Hippodamian plan where the roads transect each other at right angles. The excavation work of the Terrace Houses started in 1960. The restoration of the houses is an ongoing process and every year there is something new to admire there.
5. The Temple of Artemis
Artemis was the Greek goddess, the virginal huntress and twin of Apollo, who replaced the Titan Selene as Goddess of the Moon. The ancient temple was built around 650 BC to the cult of Artemis, was constructed on a site already sacred to the Anatolian Mother Goddess,Cybele. The temple was financed by the wealthy king of Lydia and marshy ground was selected for the building site as a precaution against future earthquakes.
6. The Basilica of Saint John
You can see Saint John Basilica from a distance when we visit to Artemis temple. It is believed that the Evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill. The tomb of St John was under the central dome of the basilica.
7. Kusadasi Shopping Center
You are able to see local handicrafts and experience local shopping if preferred. 8. Kusadasi Castle
Also called Pigeon Island! One of the earliest settlements of modern Kusadasi. We will pass by and have an opportunity of seeing it in a distance. It is located very close to the Port, you might be able to have time after your tour if you are interested.
9. Kusadasi
At the end of our tour, we will return to the Cruise Port. PLEASE NOTE THAT: There are several Ships with different arrival and departure times. Our tour was great, everyone enjoyed it a lot. We were a big group with kids included, and we had experiences during the day for everybody. We enjoyed the tour of Ephesus with Rubra. It was very warm and Rubra tried to keep us in the shade when possible. He took us to a local restaurant for lunch and we ate in a shaded courtyard. He helped us experience local food and taught us about them. We were pleased with the tour.

Beware this tour ends up at a rug store with high pressure sales and an unusual story of being part of being government subsidized weaving school for girls. Was great tour up until the uncomfortable high pressure rug sales at Turkmen.

Great experience. The stop at the rug-weaving school was very informative. At the end, however, they really put pressure on to purchase. The guide was able to share a lot of information at the House of Mary and at the Ephesus ruins. Overall, a great tour and we would do it again.

This was by far the best tour experience we’ve had!!!
Our guide Ismail Kuscu was great, friendly, polite and spoke very good English. He made accommodations to fit our needs throughout the tour. We visited Ephesus, the house of Virgin Mary and the Basilica of Saint John. These were beautiful places and a must see. He also took us to have a local home cooked meal that was excellent and there we had a complete demonstration of how they make rugs out of silk and wool. We also stopped at a ceramic shop to see how they make and decorate their beautiful pottery. Overall a great and complete tour and I highly recommend it!
