He is met by his Turkish friend Kerim's son and drives to his house and carpet shop in Grand Bazaar. He is supposed to meet the Russian clerk Tatiana Romanova to help him with the plans of the Russian Consulate in Istanbul. Tatiana leaves the plan next to a column in Hagia Sophia. Bond walks through Topkapı Palace to have the program.
