Journey to Whisky Tour

My dad and I had an excellent whisky tour with Chris at Holyrood distillery! It was the right mix of informative and fun. I really enjoyed learning more about their production of New Make and how experimental they are. Very good tour, would recommend!

Great to experience and see the distillery process in action and learn about how whiskey is made and its history.
The guide knew his stuff and was very enthusiastic.

Amazing distillery and fabulous whisky! I would personally love to work in such an ambience. Neil (the tour operator) was nice, prepared and entertaining. The staff at the shop were very friendly and let us try different spirits before buying. When I will be back in Edinburgh I would definitely return!

This was such an informative tour not only about Whisky but we also learnt loads about Gin. Our tour guide Connor was absolutely brilliant, even with us being his first ever tour! Well done Connor you can tell how passionate you are about Gin and Whisky and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We paid more for the extra ‘flights’ at the end of the tour which was worth every penny!
Would highly recommend

Sean was an amazing host and guide. He and his colleagues, Brice and Dave, built us two whiskey flights that were phenomenal. Yum, yum, yum! And Sean was super helpful in giving us lots of recommendations for the area. We loved our time at the distillery. Next time we are in Edinburgh we will be back!!

A great tour, really interesting and quite different from thé more traditionnal distilleries.
Loved to try the new make, the Embra was really unique, and ended the afternoon with a last drink in their bar.
A must do if you want a take on a non-traditionnal distillery.

Henry gave a really good indepth tour, balanced perfectly for his audience. Even though I have done other distillery tours I learnt so many new things. The tour was well paced and the tasting samples were well tutored.

Truly brilliant experience. I’ve been on a few distillery tours but nothing as detailed, scientific, or entertaining as this - it really explored the distilling process and showed how experimental and adventurous this distillery is. Our guide Dave was superb. Witty and informative. The tastings were excellent and the range of drinks being created here is quite amazing. Highly recommended.

Staff really friendly and informative, they all really understand whiskey.
4 different samples to help understand the process, staff in the gift shop as well as guides really understand whiskey and its process.

Really great and informative experience. Short history of the distillery as it is quite a new one and lots of great information about how whisky is made! Bought a gift voucher for my partner for Christmas last year and didn't manage to get there within a year. Emailed to let them know, and they extended it for us. Booked the journey to whisky tour and left almost tipsy due to the amount of samples. I don't like whisky neat, but I could really taste the difference. My partner really enjoyed the experience too.
