Quy took us on an interesting an informative tour of the market, all in English! Then we had a smooth, enjoyable, FUN cooking experience. She was very accommodating to my gluten allergy, too. We even got to take home recipe books. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been privileged with a friend to experience Chef Quy culinary classes last February during the Lunar New Year celebrations in HCM.
It was difficult to book on a day off but with much professionalism and kindness the cooking school managed to provide us with a very private class for 2 .
We can not be more grateful and respectful !
Chef Quy introduced us to some efficient culinary tips that we will use even with western cuisine such as the degreasing process of meat or, the delicate use of stock after cooking.

Our three course meal was announced and we could proceed with specific tool.
Chef Quy was so professional, clear in her explainations, kind and fun.

We have loved the roasting of spices, the fresh Spring rolls, the chicken pho and the fantastic crispy vegetable and pork pancake.

Thanks a million 🙏 we truely recommand this school and the expert chef Quy. We will come back for sure !

Ms Ngo Kim Quy was a fantastic coach Chef. Took us through the fresh food and spice section of Ben Thanh Market explaining key ingredients to Vietnamese cooking

Back at the cooking school we spent the day preparing Fresh Rice Paper Shrimp/Pork Rolls , Crispy Shrimp/ Pork Pancakes and Deliciously fragrant Chicken Pho.

At the end of the day the class sat down to a sumptuous banquet and rewarded with a Certificate from the Saigon Culinary Art Center.

Ms Quy very patiently explained step by step process of putting dishes together then demonstrated process.

Highly recommended.

The overall experience is amazing.
We Visited the wet market and got to learn about the common ingredients used in Vietnam cuisine. After getting back to the cooking school, we picked up the skills to make rolls, pancake and pho under the detailed instructions from Mdm. Dung.
The whole course takes about four hours. The secret recipe shared by the instructor is so helpful, and the food we cooked is super yummy.

I have visited many markets and tried Vietnamese restaurants in HCMC, but this cooking class expanded my food experience. Our chef's kind explanation and cooking tips during the market visit and the class were so informative and helpful. And it was a memorable experience to make my lunch.

We had a late flight leaving Vietnam and decided to take an afternoon cooking class. Our Chef Yung spoke very good English and demonstrated all aspects of preparing and cooking the 4 dishes as we followed along.

We carved carrots for garnish and pineapple for dessert. We made a sauce to use with all our dishes. We then made dumplings filled with shrimp and pork, grilled chicken, pancakes with shrimp and pork, and beef noodle soup. Each dish came out great and was delicious.

The Chef was very knowledgeable and helpful. At the end we received a certificate and recipes. We were the only 2 students so it was like a private class.

We didn’t get a market tour since most stalls are closed in the afternoon.

We really enjoyed our cooking class and would do it again! Highly recommend doing this.

Best way to get a full immersion into vietnamese cousine. The chef was amazing, the dishes were fantastics and they give you also a recipies book so you can take back home a piece of this great country.

We absolutely loved our cooking class and market trip. The market trip was so interesting, learning about all the fruits and vegetables in the market. The actual cooking class was very interesting and it broke down the steps to make these Vietnamese dishes and they were all so delicious! Thank you for a very informative, fun and tasty experience!

We (four of us) were met by the chef at Benh Than market. Meeting point was easy to find as our hotel is nearby. From there, we walked around the market and was introduced to the different types of vegetables, spices and food. Chef then got a taxi and brought us to the class venue which was in fact her residence. Residence is small but cosy and clean. Taught us simple carrot carving and how to prepare three dishes. We ate our own dishes and that's a lot to eat - nice. Chef is a nice and friendly lady and we did enjoy ourselves at the class. I have only two points: recipes given to us includes a chocolate dessert but we were given a slice of pineapple to cut into a pattern instead. ok that's still fine. At the end of the class we received a certificate, recipes and a painted fan. Did not know we were expected to go back on our own as the booking said that we will be sent back to the meeting place. Luckily, I have a Grab app and could grab back to hotel on my own. So perhaps others should also download a Grab app for such exigencies.
