What a fantastic tour. We did this on the very first morning of our trip and it was perfect. Our guide was from Florence and so passionate about the city and Renaissance. It wasn’t loads of walking as everything is so close by and she was mindful to always find some shade when we stopped. I know this is a free tour but I recommend you take some cash and pay something as it’s so worth it and is their job!

Alberto is extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful, passionate teacher. Though the crowd was large and the day hot, Alberto kept everyone engaged and involved. Great experience!!!

Very interesting tour, the guide Alberto was very nice and had very interesting facts to share. I highly recommend this tour. We walked a lot, so I'd avoid mid-day/early afternoon.

Our guide Alberto was absolutely fabulous! The tour was a perfect length and packed full of information.
Because of the tips and suggestions that the guide gave me, the rest of my day in Florence was spent savoring the perfect samples of the city.
His English was excellent, his knowledge of Florence and history was extensive, and he encouraged participation and questions.
I booked the store for $3.21 and I tipped him 20 euros even though he suggested 10 at the end of the tour. I would say it was well worth it.

Our tour was amazing. We are new to Florence and it gave us a jumping off point for deciding where to spend out time. In my experience, disrespectful comments are not true regarding "pay as you like" tours. Our group was larger than personal tours, but not huge. Camilla wore a mic and always waited for the group to catch up, and assured that shorter and special needs individuals were in front. Camilla's approach to the tour included her personal observations and refiections and the knowledge she has gained over years of Medieval and Rennaissance studies. I highly recommend this tour.

When they say "best tour", they aren't kidding. The tour is exactly what we had hoped - Manuel was a fabulous story teller that made the history of Florence come to life. Cannot recommend this tour enough.
